Been working on a website project, finished now and thought it would be fun to port a section of it to Buzztouch. Great for submitting to youtube or other video sharing sites. Great to quickly post videos to forums to show how to do something or show a problem, or promote your server or video how to's to post on your blog or server front end or anything else you can think of. It works in a similar way to sites like screencast-o-matic.com, but unlike sites like those that limit usage unless you pay, this allows unlimited videos and unlimited video length. It's free - and it's yours! I've included files for Admin users and also for ordinary users, so you can open up the feature for your users if you like. Maybe you could charge a bit for the service? Full step by step instructions for use are included in the web page and seen every time a screencast is started. Tested and working fine in: Firefox Safari Chrome Internet Explorer Doesn't work in Opera. For some reason the browser, by default, strips out dynamic urls, which are needed for this to work. I'm sure there's a browser setting somewhere. Can't be bothered to look to be honest. This mod users the skoffer api which is the developer arm of screencastle.com Videos are processed and stored on their cloud server, so the mod uses very little of your bandwidth. They're stored indefinitely, but for peace of mind you can download videos as soon as they're processed. --------------------------------------------------------- Features: Screen capture size adjustment, from full screen to tiny. No Watermarks. --------------------------------------------------------- Install: Install the whole unzipped folder to the files/custom directory. You can activate the screencaster for Admins, Users or both: ---------------------- Set up for Admins: Go to "Control Panel Links". Go to "Admin Control Panel Links". Click "Add Link". Link Label: ScreenCaster or something relevent. Link URL: /files/custom/screencaster/admin_screencaster1.php Opens In: Same Window ---------------------- Set up for Users: Go to "Control Panel Links". Go to "Account Control Panel Links". Pretty much installed by default nowadays, but if you haven't got it, you will be prompted to download it and given a link the first time you try to use the recorder. The output video file is .flv, this is fine for uploading to youtube and most pc players, quicktime player etc, but might need converting for other video sharing sites. --------------------------------------------------------- The following features are listed on the skoffer api site, these features are all included in the mod: Feature list It's completely free. It is possible to record fullscreen or to choose the part of the screen to record. you can record fullscreen untill a resolution of: unlimited high (you can record your whole screen even if you have a resolution of 1600x1200 or higher.) Possibility to record from the PC's microphone: Yes. (the screen-recorder records the default input device, which is probably set to microphone by default, but you can set up your operating system to record other sound destinations, too. Like: "All sound you hear" or "Line input"). Possible video length: unlimited. Amount of recordable videos: unlimited. Do I or my website users have to register somewhere: No (remember: we call it "One Click Screencasting”) How many viewers of my videos can be served simultaneously: practically an unlimited amount. Since the videos are stored in a computer cloud there is a theoretically unlimited amount of bandwidth. Are there any duties from my side when I use Skoffer? No.

If anyone has downloaded the mod prior to this post and are having problems getting it to work, rename the directory from 'screencast' to 'screencaster'. That should fix any issues. Dumb oversight on my part. The download on buzztouchmods should now be ok and won't need renaming. Thanks to @Raoul for spotting it.

Simple, Use app not plugin. Have app set clock to standard time. Happens at 3 am. At Noon app sets clock to daylight time. After three days of use app automatically orders No-Doze. Ensure app is allowed access to contact info for shipping info and to PayPal. Included sounds files: Clanging bell. Ship horn. Car screeching to stop. App randomly plays sounds at various hours beginning on 5th day. Including accelerometer in app allows app to detect if you're falling to sleep. Enable audio capture to detect for snoring. After 10th day app prohibits use of vehicle or heavy machinery. Fred
