No .ZIP file downloading when I try to download source code in either iOS or Android

I have tried to download the source code for my app I created in my self hosted server, and it says "Packaging product source code" LOADING..... then nothing happens. I don't know what else to try to get it to work. Everything is properly configured, and I just updated to BT 2.1.7, so I am not sure why it won't save the ZIP file with the source code to my computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try downloading with your device, sometimes (not lately) I've used this when my laptop gave me trouble. Fred

Thx! I seem to be having a problem downloading the source code even through my BT account, not hosted on my server.

I thought I would try it on both my PC and my Mac to see if it might work on one or the other, but no luck on either :/

The other day... Saturday? I tried to download some plugins from here and all I could get was a part file, unknown file extension. It was ok by Monday though. **Edit** I tell a lie. It's still doing it. Just tried downloading the Blank Screen plugin: http://www.buzztouch.com/account/plugin.php?from=plugins.php&pid=288024B0A6DB1050FFB0EC8&searchInput=search...&category=&sortColumn=P.displayAs&sortUpDown=DESC&currentPage=1 Unknown file type, 334kb

@limnet: I spent some time looking into this today and didn't find anything wrong with the buzztouch API. This is the API used when you download projects from your control panel. This means that something isn't configured property with your self hosted panel. I'm also wondering if it's a problem you're not "seeing." I say this because if the LOADING...graphic just shows and shows and never goes away, something for sure isn't working as designed. There are countless things that "could" be going on depending on a zillion settings in your web hosts configuration. I'm happy to get a look at this but will need a few things from you in order to help. I don't have access to your self hosted install. If you want us to try to debug / fix this for you, send an email to info 'at' buzztouch.com with information about your install (URL, your contact info, etc) and we'll go from there. @raveyd: Download links for each plugin are provided in the plugin details screens. I'm sure you realize this. I just tested the link you posted, and a few others - all seems OK?

@David - weird. This is the file that I end up with, just tried again now: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/56760890/bt_screen_blank On the buzztouch site the download dialogue pops up (using firefox) and tells me it's going to download a ZIP archive, and the dialogue shows a zip icon and everything looks ok, then I hit save and the above file downloads. Zip/rar Downloads on other sites are fine, including on my self hosted server. Downloading the latest plugin package from buzztouch from in my server admin area is fine too

Hi David, I have been trying to download the iOS and Android packages through Buzztouch.com's panel, and the same problem is occurring. It shows the "loading", then the "loading" disappears, and then nothing happens, as if I never tried to download the package to begin with. If it were a problem with my self hosted panel, wouldn't it still work in my account panel through Buzztouch.com? Is it possible that someone at BT has inadvertently blocked my account from being able to download any source code packages? Thanks!

@limnet: There are to different issues being discussed in this thread. One is related to you not being able to download source code packages using your self hosted panel. The other is related to users (like @raveyd) not being able to download plugins from the buzztouch.com site. Totally different topics. You're account hasn't been blocked - I can assure you of that. But, it wouldn't hurt to make sure the API key in the Admin Screen > Server Settings validates. I'll bet it does. Next, as I mentioned in the previous post: "If you want us to try to debug / fix this for you, send an email to info 'at' buzztouch.com with information about your install (URL, your contact info, etc) and we'll go from there" You may have already done this and I missed it (I see all those emails) so my apologies if this is the case. Send that message and I'll get the ball rolling. In essence we need to get your contact info (this panel does't allow me to find it) and details about how to connect to your server to debug. FTP, Login, etc. We'll reply to your email with the information we need ;-) @raveyd: Ah Ha! I think we're dealing with a browser problem (downloading plugin packages) and I'm doing some digging to figure this out. If you'll notice, the link you're using, the one that doesn't work like expected, does NOT point to a .zip file. It points to a PHP file our backend. This PHP file "streams" the zip archive to your browser. This should force a Save As dialogue / Download Dialogue on your computer. This is working on the browsers here but apparently not your (and probably others). I'll bet the content-type or some other HTTP header is not being set properly and some browsers are OK with this and others are NOT. Stay tuned.

@raveyd: Give it a whirl, bet it works. I was right, there were two missing quotation marks (") that should have been surrounding the file name you were downloading. I'm speaking of missing quotation marks in the "download" source code. Tested on... Windows: IE, Firefox Mac: Chrome, Firefox, Safari

Hi David, Whatever you did to fix RAVEYD's problem, seemed to fix my problem as well. Now I can package up the source code, and download the zip files with no problems from my self hosted server! Thanks again!
