XCode Availability in Canada

I went to download XCode from the App Store, yet it says that XCode is not available in Canada. Any thoughts on this?

On my Canadian Dev account I see 4.4 available for download. But that is strange that AppStore doesn't let you to download it. Just change your region to US.

Do you have to be enrolled in the developer program before downloading xcode?

I go to download it from the web, and it takes me to the iTunes store, and says that it is not available in the Canadian store.

No you dont have to be enrolled, technically you should be able to grab it from the AppStore. Change your Canadian store to US and try that way.

Are you running some crazy old version of OSX? No reason why you can't download it in Canada.

Yeah, have OSX 10.5.8. Signed up for Apple Free Developer Program, which allowed me to download xcode 3.1.4. Downloading and installing now.

How much trouble will I be running into with this older version?

OSX 10.5.8 the highest you can go with that one is xcode 4.2 (with the latest 5.1 SDK)

Coderx, where did you find that info, as I went to download 4.2 from the apple developer page, and 4.2 is only available there for lion and not for leopard (which i believe 10.5.8 is). tried to download, and it won't let a lion program install.

Crap sorry I thought it said 10.6.8(snow leopard). I'm on 10.6.8 running 4.2 with 5.1sdk. I'm not sure what the highest is for 10.5.8. I misread the numbers.

I just read that for the 10.5.8, the highest compatible level is 3.1.4, and that 3.2.6 won't work, which means that the iphone SDK is no longer available for that level. Can anyone confirm this? Am I out of luck without an OS X upgrade?
