Good information. But if you know me, you know I'm about to give some advice... 1. Reduce the font size of your main text. I want to read more than 5-6 words before going to the next line. 2. Pay attention to grammar, etc. I know this isn't a research paper or anything, but you want to leave a good impression. If nothing else, send it to Fiverr and have someone proof it for you. Ex: This may be one of the longest run-on sentences I've seen: "iOS apps are very easy to market, since you have iTunes Connect, meaning, you can change the price of an application for a time period and then when you’re ready to switch the price back, you can, unlike Apple’s way, In Google Play (Market) you ONLY make your app free, then you can’t switch back over to paid, Lite and Free Versions of apps are good, but when your trying to top the leaderboards, you won’t be able to as easy as a full version, since Lite apps usually have ads, giving the user a bad experience, however, FREEMIUM apps are also a good way to go: example: Having the app FREE forever, but allowing users to purchase iAP (in app purchases) from the app itself." Again, I mean no disrespect. Just trying to help out.

Hi Raoul, it's a nice piece (though I agree with some of @Stobe's comments). I've produced something similar (but different!) for the actual business of marketing your app to the masses (using some slightly old school techniques!). It's aimed at a UK audience and I'd be interested in anyone's feedback (as I reckon I've probably missed a few salient points). You can read it here: http://tradeboxmedia.com/knowledge-base/marketing-your-app/ Regards, Stephen. P.S. Raoul, I'll be submitting my apps to your site tomorrow!

Spelling Bee - awesome! @Raoul: The gang never ceases to impress us with their willingness to help other users. In this case, it's turned into a spelling, grammar, punctuation lesson. Awesome. My perspective is this: If you have a document titled: "Marketing and Promoting Your Application" it should probably provide some details about a FEW different ways to do it. OR, the document could be renamed: "Marketing and Promoting Your Application on App Monster" Either way is OK and both ways are helpful. However, our audience isn't generally impressed with documents that are specifically designed to promote one single enterprise like Free App Monster when the document is created by the person running the enterprise. @MrDavid (who offers a buzztouch hosting solution) could write a document about "How to host a buzztouch app" that didn't mention any other hosting service other than his own. Or, he could write a document that explained all the differences between several different hosting solutions, his being one of them. In almost all cases his credibility would increase when he justified his service offering by showing readers the genuine differences between each service. You've got some great tips and advice in your "App Monster" documents and I applaud you for this. But, you could get a TON more applause by taking a little time to explain how Free App Monster is ONE WAY to promote your app, along with some others. If you take the time to do this, we'll happily post it in the How To's area ;-) Stoked that your'e sticking with this and taking the advice in stride, it's not easy taking criticism. Well done.

A tried and trusted internet marketing ploy is to review a few similar services in an unbiased way as a third party with no affiliation to any of the services, listing pros and cons, then in the conclusion recommend your own service and the reasons why. I'm unsure of your target audience - us? others? Where is the pdf being posted? Who'll be reading it and where will they find it? Internet marketing is an art form, nobody'll convince me otherwise. @JimmySaver knows the score. I bet that article he links to is in all the article directories, press release sites, xomba, how to sites and a ton of places - or it should be! All rewritten, manually spun, keyword optimised and all the rest. Old school techniques still work! Keep going Raoul, nobody creates a masterpiece at first attempt!
