Hi Everyone, My Michigan Football app was finally approved. This one took a while with one appeal based on copyright questions, but it finally approved! Thank you very much to everyone who helped me test this. Your input was greatly appreciated and made the app better. I'm using a distribution system for my promo codes. did you make this App using only Buzztouch?

@Pastor Alberto - The bulk of the app was using BT. The camera upload is a custom plugin I modified. The tab bar is custom code. I put a tutorial together here: http://jc-evans.com/tutorial/Tab_Bar_With_Custom_Center_Tab.pdf I've also integrated Socialize into this so users can share news articles and photos.

No problem! You know the only issue I saw in your Michigan app was that highlighting the middle button, the light up only highlighted the bottom part of it. Other then that, the mod looks awesome, know many will benefit. Every day people like you are showing that buzztouch can and is what you make it! Sky is not the limit, heh. No. I did that differently. I'll post that code. I think I may have already. Not sure. It's really simple to add the custom image. Where I ran into a challenge was on rotation. I figured out how to make it work on the ipad, but for the iphone I didn't allow device rotation.

hi MGoBlue i have to see your app very nice but i have a question how u can show full Quiz with 4 answer row ? when i have make an app with Tab bar when i add Quiz but when show 4 row answer away hide 1 row forward tab bar, can't see full Quiz with 4 row answer can you show how you do that ? thank you ! see this picture http://bit.ly/NRHcMT im Hoang

Hoang. You have to hide the bottom tool bar. You do that in the advanced settings under "Top Navigation Bar, Bottom Toolbar". You can only hide the tool bar if your launching the quiz from a menu item or menu button. If you launch the quiz from the tab bar, you cannot hide the bottom tool bar.

@MGoBlue, I modified the images to be blank, and proceeded to reference a icon in the third tabbed bar - worked perfectly, now I can use any icon rather then just the camera icons. Hi @MGoBlue, By all accounts, this app sounds really cool and I thought I'd give it a go. I loaded and installed your app on my 3GS (running ios 4). Sadly it doesn't get past the splash screen. It is an old device, probably no big deal as most people use newer, but my BT dev apps don't have that issue. I thought I'd let you know. Alan

The error is: iOS Error Code:-1003 iOS Error Message: A server with the specified hostname could no be found. NOw this just be me. Maybe you link to US itunes store and i am UK but i would have though it would still link me somewhere? or maybe you have an issue there? The Apparel and Gears ones open fine

What a Game UM vs Bama. The Tide has been stewing for almost a decade since the last time they faced off. In Texas too. Hope your going and have seats on the 50. I've been playing with that tab bar too. Making that rounded button is a bit tricky to draw on the Layer Mask. They do have to be transparent. my icons were coming up with a light frame around them. Still photochopping... I noted that I thought there might be a typo in your guide - the 3rd line of the 1st chunk of code looks to have an extra : in it. I had to remove it to get the code to compile. Big fan of the mod, it's a GREAT SPOT for a Company logo - front and center and always prominent. Would love to see the header code as well, that's another excellent mod and a great 'display' area. Go Irish!

FYI- more testing results: iOS Error Code:-1003 iOS Error Message: A server with the specified hostname could no be found. also appearing when trying to look at 'Polls/Standings' from the 'more' menu

@Bonzo - thanks for the heads-up. I upgraded software on my server last night and it appears the update broke all of my subdomains. Working on it now. @AlanMac - Surprised it won't run on your 3gs. It was tested on a 3gs with os 3 running. I'll see if there's anything I can figure out. It is build for ios3 and above. @ATRAIN53 - Was able to overcome the copyright objection. I found U of M's policy on the use of photos and was able to convince Apple that I am in compliance. Ran into a major snag today with all of my other apps though. The Collegiate Licensing Group has objected to my use of names and colors in my icons, citing trademark issues. I've been talking to them and looks like they'll be okay if I change all of my icons to a more generic icon. So, looks like my cool Michigan icon will be a thing of the past. Need to recompile all of my college football apps. I'll take a look at the tutorial again and get rid of that extra colon. Was in the process of putting the tutorial up on my website, so I'll clean it up there too. Thanks again! @MrDavid - Please send me the clear image and I'll include it in the zip file. BRILLIANT! Didn't even think of doing a clear image there. Thanks again for all my testers. Really appreciate it.

@MGoBlue - no problem. 'Music & more' store is now working. 'Polls & standings' shows be a page note found error. Maybe your still working on it and im being to quick, but i thought id mention it encase you thought you had corrected it. Are you willing to give guidance on how you got the 'itunes view' store to appear in your app rather than opening the itunes app directly? is it an API/RSS/Widget/Custom Code? THanks

@mysps - I missed your question before. I've got the force auto refresh set in the control panel, but it doesn't always do it. I didn't think about tweaking the code. May do that as a minor fix when I upload my change. @Bonzo - All should be working in the app now. What a pain. Haven't figured out the server issue that broke things. Ended up changing all of the url references in the app. As for the store, it's a custom html page I built. I found a template somewhere and did my own modifications. Looks pretty cool, huh? I'll see if I can find the original source and post it.
