You're correct...API Keys are issued when you upgrade your account to the Self Hosted account. You don't need an API key to use the self hosted control panel to "host apps", only to download the source code for an app you built in your self hosted panel. I realize that this may sound complicated. It is for some, for others not at all. The idea is that you're free to use the self hosted package on your own site without an API key. I thought there was the possibility of having on a few free applications, like works in Buzztoutch. Would be interesting to be able to store the video and audio files, closing the entire project.
