Compile project in eclipse

I intend to compile my project in Android, but I didn´t find the option "Android Project" (File>New>Project>...). Appear other options such as: android application project or android project from existing code. Neither has the specifications that appear in the PDF instructions. I'm using the Juno Classic version. Thank you.

Ok. I ended up managing to bring the project into Eclipse using the import option, as explained in Mark http://www.buzztouch.com/resources/buzztouch_For_Android-A_Users_Guide.pdf

The other option to load a project is to right click in the left hand pane, select 'import' and select "Existing Projects into Workspace". Do you have that option?

Happens ;) After import and fix errors, ran as android application, opened the simulator but does not show the icon of my app. What could be wrong?

When you run the emulator the app should start up. It sounds to me like the app isn't installing onto the emulator. There should be error messages in the console pane. GoNorthWest has some excellent tutorials covering this, in the 'How To's' link above. Also, depending on what OS you're running, the emulator can take a really long time to load the app, sometimes 5 mins or more. Perhaps you're not waiting long enough?

I've read this material from Mark and has nothing attached. It is also not showing any error message. It may be the version of Eclipse? (Classic Juno). I'm clicking in the main folder (buzztoutch) with the right mouse button and choosing RUN AS> ANDROID APPLICATION When you start the emulator, a screen appears with the time and a padlock on the left side. Displace the button and then the splash screen appears when the Android, I open the menu to see if the icon has been installed and is not shown. So I must leave this screen until the initial start my application?

Yes RB, wait until either the app starts up, or you see error messages in the console pane. Like I say, it may take 5 minutes or more! Grab a coffee while you're waiting, that's what I do! If you have an Android phone, you can set your phone up as an emulator. There are some guides on the forum. A phone works very quickly as an emulator and is very much more stable than the emulator on your pc.

More than 20 minutes waiting and nothing. I find it strange: why is not going straight to application? The screens that opening are the emulator itself. As I said, no error message appears.

I decided to simulate on my phone (galaxy gt s5360) and it worked normal. The problem is the emulator, would that be? Any help?

Hi, I am going through the steps in Mark's PDF but when i try to load the source downloaded from Buzztouch (either using method 1 or 2) I navigate to the root folder it appears in the field (but greyed out) and I get the message " Cannot import com.paleochora.BT_activity_root because the project name is in use". I have not opened it anywhere. It is not open in another application. What is going on? Can anyone advise me please. I am also seeing that I need to go to "Adndoid Tools" but can't find where that is.
