Self-hosted BT Server producing the following problems. Can anyone help me out?

I have a self-hosted server with BuzzTouchMods and I'm getting 1 error and 3 alerts when I try to build in xcode. The error is: Lexical or Preprocessor Issue 'camera_appDelegate.h' file not found BT_camera_email.h #import "camera_appDelegate.h" 'camera_appDelegate.h' file not found The alerts are: 1. In BT_application.m - [BT_debugger showIt:self:[NSString stringWithFormat:@"This app does not use a splash screen", @""]]; -- Data argument not used by format string 2. BT_fileManager.m - [BT_debugger showIt:self:[NSString stringWithFormat:@"readTextFileFromBundleWithEncoding ERROR using encoding NSUTF8StringEncoding, trying NSISOLatin1StringEncoding", @""]]; -- Data argument not used by format string 3. BT_fileManager.m - [BT_debugger showIt:self:[NSString stringWithFormat:@"readTextFileFromCacheWithEncoding ERROR using encoding NSUTF8StringEncoding, trying NSISOLatin1StringEncoding", @""]]; -- Data argument not used by format string I've started and restarted. Redownloaded, etc. Can anyone throw me a line and illuminate this problem?

Hi @Ronin, Did you drag the BT_Plugins folder into your Xcode project? That does need to be there. Mark

@Mark, @Ronin, This issue seemed to be reported a lot with the new camera email plugin, I'm emailing the author now and sending him here. Cheers. David buzztouchmods.com

Agree with @MrDavid....seems like a camera plugin problem. Hopefully it'll get fixed! Mark

Thanks. When I delete the camera plugin, I don't get the error. However, I still get a lot of format string issues as shown above. The app still compiles, but what can I do about these?

If they're just warnings, then it's not too much of an issue. Some of these can be resolved by picking a target iOS level from the early days...like iOS 3 (which many of us use). That allows for a huge install base, and tends to remove some of these semantic errors. Mark

Thanks for the tip. Quick question, if I fix the code itself so that I'm not getting these issues, will I have to fix it every time I download the source code, or is there any way I can correct this at the source?

If you can fix the plugin code, I could update the plugin, you could re-download it and never have to do that for every source. Hoping the author will be here soon with input. David buzztouchmods.com

Are you using version 1.0 or 1.1? Version 1.1 has the correct appDelegate file. BT_appDelegate.h should be listed in the BT_camera_email.h (not camera_appDelegate.h). This was an error in version 1.0. BT_appDelegate.h should automatically be renamed to the appDelegate filename assigned to your app when you download the source code. Sorry for the confusion.

Yes, the version from that link has the correct files listed: #import "BT_viewController.h" #import "BT_appDelegate.h" #import "BT_debugger.h" #import <UIKit/UIKit.h> #import <Foundation/Foundation.h> #import "JSON.h" #import "BT_application.h" #import "BT_strings.h" #import "BT_viewUtilities.h" #import "BT_item.h" #import "BT_viewControllerManager.h" #import "BT_camera_email.h"

I know many people are getting this error with the latest version then, any idea why? If you could try and see why this issue is still showing up, it would be greatly appreciated! Cheers, David.

The new xcode comes up with all the errors as I am no a programme I summise. That error appears on all of the else statements in the xcode I currently have 12. These else statements are the ones if you are using rounded corners then blardy blar. If you are using an url for pictures and not locally an else statement comes up just in case you do. But as you are not xcode marks it as a pointless statement. Does that make some sense.

From @Gb78 "I just updated the plugin. I removed the reference to the BT_appDelegate in the .h file. I installed the plugin and it works. I do receive the same warnings that others talked about. These are all new with the upgrade of Xcode. Most of these are to the other plugins from BT. Regardless, this version works on the device." NEW VERSION (FIXED) DOWNLOAD HERE: https://buzztouchmods.com/downloads.php?cat_id=1&download_id=38 Thank you @gb78! Cheers, David buzztouchmods.com

Sorry for the delay. I had a hard drive crash and I am still recreated a number of files. I have now made the commitment to back up even more frequently. I have updated the plugin and removed the reference to BT_appDelegate in the .h file (this was not necessary and was created the error). I submitted the updated to the BTMods and the file should be updated to version 1.2 shortly. I am also receiving a number of format strong issues after updating Xcode yesterday. Most of these are for the various BT plugins. Regardless, these do not cause any issues when running the app. Thanks for calling this out to me.

It must have been a duplicate submission. They would be the same version.

I am not sure why 'BT_appDelagate.h' is not being renamed the appDelegate file for you app. For example, I named the test app for version 1.2 as "testcam". When I downloaded the source code from the self-hosting site the file 'BT_appDelagate.h' was renamed to 'testcam_appDelagate.h'. I cannot replicate the issue. The only solution would be rename the file 'BT_appDelagate.h' in the plugin the reflect the appDelegate file for your app.
