Small Price to pay or free ?

All, Looking for others opinion ? Option 1: Put you app up for free in the App Store but with iAds/revmob Pros: Likely to get more download because its free with a high chance of people using the ads Cons: Annoying Ads!, No guaranteed income for each download Option 2: Put your app up for minimal amount ($.99/.69p) with no ads Pros: Get paid for the download Cons: Alot less download because its not free I have a new app almost ready to submit to apple but cannot decide on the best way to go. Its a fan app for a popular tv show with information about all series and episodes, a quiz and a soudboard for popular phrases within the show Thanks

If you're SURE you'll get loads of downloads, go with a free app and maybe integrate RevMob. RevMob works great for high-traffic fan apps. Most people won't pay money for fan apps, in my experience.

THanks. that was my though. in previous experience (and i dont have a huge amount - 4 apps in total) when i put them on for free, ive had 100 - 3000 downloads. when i put them on for a charge, i get <50. So i though it would be best to sacrifice the download change and hope the ads bring in the income thanks

It depend son weather you think the app is going to get enough downloads. Or you could just make two, a free version with ads and a payed version without ads and more features.

Not a fan of RevMob, it’s too intrusive and continuously pops out every time a user enters a page. AdMob is a good option and has a variety of categories for different ads.
