will not compile android?

My new bt self hosting server will not compile. In the server settings it will not validate and give error Fatal error: Call to undefined function curl_init() in /var/www/BT-server-2.1.7/admin/settings_AJAX.php on line 156 I am very new to BT and would appreciate any help Paul Shaw

It also sounds like you're new to PHP and web-hosted software. I say this because of how you explained some issues you're having. It's OK to not understand some of this stuff. But, you may have a hard time installing web based software if you're unsure about how it all works. a) The self hosted package does not "compile" anything. It's a web based software package written in PHP. A series of web pages. b) It sounds like you've installed it to the point where you're trying to validate an API key. I'm guessing here. The system relies on a package installed on %99.9 of all Linux servers called "cURL" (short for command line URL). If cURL isn't available on the server you installed the package on, it won't work. So..where is this package hosted? Are you the website administrator or is there someone else in your organization that may be able to help you? Do you have access to the server from a root level so you can make adjustments? You'll get through this...just a matter of figuring out the best way forward. Lots and lots and LOTS of these self hosted packages are installed and running fine so it's a matter of getting a good grip on your servers configuration.
