Dumb question

Hello new starter here. I have my Android Maps API key, but were do I put it. Yeah I know it's a stupid question but I have no idea. I have read that it goes into the strings.xml but these 2 entries do not seem to be right do I create a new entry for the map api. <string name="googleMapsAPIKeyDebug">yourGoogleMapsKeyForDebug</string> <stringname="googleMapsAPIKeyRelease">yourGoogleMapsKeyForRelease</string> Regards R0dd0

Thanks for all your answers but I am stuck with still another related question.. I have the MD5 fingerprint and used that to get my Android Maps API key. But I still need a GoogleMapsKeyForDebug and a GoogleMapsKeyForRelease were and how do I get them, all the info I have read seems to only describe how to get the first two I have... I just can't seem to get my head around this yet ... I should have picked an easier App type to start with but the maps idea just sucked me in. Thanks again R0dd0

If you use the Release key to get your Google Maps API, that is your Google Maps Release API key. See my Buzztouch & Google Maps guide. www.MySkylla.com Fred

Thank you all for you help with my delema, my problem was deeper than just the Map keys ect. I deleted everything and reworked my BuzzApp from scratch to a simpler version.. Now I at last get map App to run on the Eclipse emulator. The problem was self inflicted :) Cheers R0dd0 PS. I have caught the BUZZ
