Transition and Color Options - Working on iOS, but not Android?

I first compiled my app on Eclipse for Android and was irritated to find that no change I made to the transition animations or navigation/tab bar. After a few days of frustration, I came to the acceptance that perhaps this was just a glitch in the system that I would have to live with and I did. However, when I compiled the app in Xcode, all of these things worked and, heck, the thing looked fantastic! Much much better than the Android version, more polished and pretty: Exactly how I'd envisioned it when I clicked and tapped in the control panel. So Help: What am I doing wrong? Should I redownload the source code? Should I run the config file through the JSON checker again (done multiple times and validated). I've come this close to calling it quits on Android prettiness. Bring hope back into my life? D= Thank you so much! Sharon PS: The app is called AGIFNA 2012 in the Android market and on Buzztouch. Still in the process of releasing to Apple.

Hey Sharon, It's natural that most android versions of buzztouch produced apps look worse then the apple ios versions. Trust me, this bothered me too! However, if your skilled, there are a few people who have managed to make some beautiful android applications with the buzztouch platform. You're going to run into this issue with almost any platform for android app building - google doesn't really know how to keep things.. pretty? To be honest, still a little stumped, I also thing android is harder to design for, since there are many different screen sizes, and such, etc. Here's to hope ;p Cheers, David buzztouchmods.com

Haha good to know I'm not the only one banging my head against the wall. Wandering into app creation has been the biggest blow to my Android fanboy-dom, for sure! Just to make sure: Does this mean that I won't be able to get the tab color/transparency, navi color/transparency, and transitions to work on android?

On 1.5, I have found more Buzztouch features work at a screen level than the theme level. The background and text colors work. The fount and row sizes do not seem to work. Header images work but display differently (every device I have tried displays smaller images on Android). All of my apps are prettier on iOS! A few apps are doing really well on Android so worth the effort.

I probably should have mentioned I'm working on v2.0. But I do know what you mean about screen vs. theme. I'd had to calm a few screen/theme battles before I could get it to work on iOS. That's not what bothers me, though. I can handle a bit of fiddling around. What bothers me is that it doesn't work for Android regardless of whether the settings are in conflict or not =/
