camera as background image

i saw an app for iphone that used the camera as the background image...pretty neat, whichever way the camera was pointing, you go that image as the backgound. Any way to do this with buzztouch, and specifically for droid?

There isn't ever a limitation to what you can do with buzztouch. It's more of a limitation of what you can / can't do with your skill. Because the source-code is provided in plain text, you're welcome to change / modify anything you want after downloading it. So, a different question is "how to do this" and I totally understand. Sounds like a cool screen! I would start by using the Blank screen plugin. It's a basic screen and will give you a good simple starting place. Ultimately the performance of such a screen would probably be very low. I say this because the phone will need to capture, set, then re-capture, set, over and over again. Each image it captures needs to be set as the screens background. You could probably speed this up but I can't imagine it feeling "smooth." Have a look at these for a place to start... http://stackoverflow.com/questions/11544877/really-confused-with-setpreviewcallback-in-android-need-advice http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-applications/45342-there-live-wallpaper-displays-what-you-camera-sees.html
