Help needed - new user can't even get a basic app working

Hi guys, I'm close to pulling my hair out so hoping someone can help. I am following the video instructions for 'My First App' to the absolute letter of the law, but when I activate the app in X-code, rather than coming up with a menu screen with two options in it, it brings up the first menu option and nothing else. FOr example: The Monterey Harbour example had 2 menu options appear after the RUN function was activated. I also have created two menu options just like the example (exactly as the example has done it)...but rather than going to the Menu with 2 options, it literally bypasses the Menu and loads up the EMAIL HARBOURMASTER function, and doesn't seem to be including any of the other plugins. Can someone please advise where I might be going wrong with this? Thanks Simon

If you are on ios and using buzztouch 2.0, there is an instructions.pdf that is downloaded with your project. In there it itemises a couple of extra steps - this caught me out in my early days. Alan

Look at your "Layout" settings

Hi guys - well I can't say I'm any further ahead than I was before...the thing is, I'm not a dumby by any means...I'm actually quite tech savvy which is what is frustrating me the most (when I say tech savvy, I don't write computer code or anything but am better with technology than most of my friends and colleagues). I have since gone to layouts and entered each of the 3 menu options in the tabbed layout list, however it now has the menus listed on the bottom of the screen rather than in the format shown in the video (top to bottom list), it is also not bringing up the email function despite me entering in all of the details exactly as they have been entered in the video. Hoping you can explain more about the tabbed and non-tabbed functions, and why the tabbed function I have selected has the menu on the bottom rather than as a drop down function like in the demo video (and also why the email function may not be popping up)? Cheers Simon

Also, I think I am going to scrap everything and start from square 1 just in case I've missed something. I know I can't delete apps, but how can I restore everything to their original status/delete absolutely everything to ensure when I start again, it literally starts from square one? Cheers Simon

If you want a "top to bottom" menu, then create a List Menu screen (or simple menu list in 2.0) and make that the "home" screen. If you want to get rid of the tabs on the bottom, then set that menu screen as the home screen in a non-tabbed layout (delete the 3 tabs you set and use the other option).
