RSS Creator

Hi I have an app created for a charity I was initially planning to use the RSS feed as a news stream. This was fine but the charities IT guy has gone AWOL and have no one to look after it and I am not able to take over. I don't mind my server being used as there back end but I need a simple way of them to provide brief news without them needing to update a website. I remember using software to update a university rss feed any idea of any similar software. Thanks hope that makes sense. They are trying to avoid setting up a blog.

I used to use http://www.rapidfeeds.com/, but they went paid a couple of years ago. If you only need one feed it'll cost $4.49 a month, cheaper than hosting a blog if they want to avoid setting one up. With rapidfeeds, you just add content on their website and generate an rss feed url, then just add more 'posts' whenever you like. Another free service I used to use was icerocket.com, but it looks like they've dropped the service. I'm sure a dig around the net could find a free service that's still running.

I think the OP was wanting tools to create rss without needing web pages, dunno, bit unclear. Good tools in that link though.

yeah ravey you're right that's what I'm after it's so they can update the app without me being involved or it being too techy. Have looked at a few but they seem to involve just converting your web site to RSS. Cheers guys. buzzbt thanks for the link it'll improve my knowledge further

I think either of these can do what you want, more so the first one with the 'my rss letters' tool. http://www.netimechannel.com/ http://www.rsspect.com/
