app in google play. how much should I charge?

I recently made an app for a local takeaway which is now published on Google play. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zaksfishbar The only thing is I am unsure how much i should charge the client for an app like this. Can anyone take a look and give me some ideas on the going rate for an app like this. Thanks

Hi Mr Stuck, Well, the price is something that probably should have been negotiated before you finished the work and published the app! Gives you a bit more leveraging that way. Perhaps charge a couple hundred bucks? That seems reasonable based on previous comments in this forum. Or maybe free kabobs for a year? Nice app! Mark

Hi thanks. I wanted to create the app and get it published just as a showcase which worked as im now developing another app for another takeaway so could end up being profitable in long run. These apps will require updates to prices etc so money in it in the long run. Or free kebabs as you say. ha ha

Cool! I'm anxious to hear what the other developers who have charged for their apps have to say. All mine have been personal and for free. Mark

Im aware that i can't change free to paid. I am charging the client for the build and publication of the app. The client will also have to pay me for changes to app when they decide to change the prices on food or add anything else to the menu. Just wanted an estimated amount that i should charge the client for an app like this.

I would think of it more as a ongoing newspaper ad. A full page ad easily runs $1,000/day in some markets. Figure out a way to track app usage & you'll know a bit more about it's worth . Fred

There is so much i need to learn like mysql and stuff to make better apps. Would like some people to take a look and give a quick evaluation on what they think an app like this is worth with current content. I am planning to add shopping cart function to it also. I just need to figure out integration of paypal mini cart to make this work. I have no coding background so am learning as i go. I can add html to insert paypal add to cart buttons so just need to crack the insertion of mini cart code and i can make whole menu with online ordering function. thanks and app usage is something i will look into in the future but for now i have the number of views in buzztouch as a rough guide have you any suggested price range for an app like this as it stands (without online ordering) Fred?

No suggestion as it's very subjective. Perhaps just pick a number and feel out the client and reach a happy medium. Fred

No problem. open to anyone else who may have sold an app with similar content or function.
