Have you checked in xcode -> preferences -> downloads to see what software is available?

I solved this problem, by doing this: Project->Edit Project Settings->Build->Base SDK->Latest SDK (4.2) Project->Edit Project Settings->Build->iOS Target Deployment->iOS 4.2 Project->Edit Active Target (myTarget)->Base SDK->Latest SDK (4.2) Project->Edit Active Target (myTarget)->iOS Target Deployment->iOS 4.2 And, If you still have problems: Click the box that says base SDK missing, and select: Simulator -> Debug That should do it. Ok, so what version of Mac OS X are you running? And what version of xcode? Was it installed through the app store? Or via a standalone installer?

Runing an oracle virtual machine with 10.6.7, xcode version 3.2.6 updated via app store (installed from Snow L DVD) Do I need to be registered as a developer to see the SDK?

Hi @DeckG, For what it's worth, you may run into problems using a VM with Mac OS X. The Terms and Service Agreement for Xcode states that it must be run from an Apple branded machine. I doubt that's preventing you from getting the SDK, but it may cause issues in the future. Mark

Thanks Mark. I'll be trying out only 1 app on an iphone, will be concentrating on Android after that.Wasn't worth me paying for a second hand Mac just for one. Cheers, Derek
