For iPhone apps, don't make your app simply look like a mobile website (ie a simple list). Give your apps dynamic and good looking content. Think like the end user, and think like a marketer.

Every day watch at least one video on app development: Php Html5 Xcode Java Eclipse The list goes on & on Design Photoshop And my best advice, write a how-to every day. Professor in college taught me this one, you'd be surprised how much you learn writing.

@Fred - Agree with the how-to, great advice. I always write down the steps after I've figured something out. It's often invaluable at a later date.
