Android Highjack?

Hello everyone, I had a friend tell me he took his Android phone into a store to get checked out because it was "acting funny", and the store told him that his phone was hijacked by "hijack" (not sure if spelling is right). Have you ever heard of this happening, if so, how can he stop it from happening again? Any Apps can prevent this? LA

I would need more info on what the problems were and if he was installing non market apps. I haven't had a lot of faith in most stores knowledge pertaining to Android. -Shane

Hey @Outbreak, He just started a business so his number is posted everywhere. I believe this is how they got his cell number. LA

Could he not make calls? Phone froze? Apps run by themselves? What did it cause his phone to do?

Interesting. It also sounds like the phone number was hijacked and maybe not just his phone. The private/restricted would be tied the carrier. -Shane
