I tried to demo it today to somebody, but it had mysteriously stopped working. I hadn't changed anything. Later on in the day I started to look into it. I don't know why, but I went through the core properties for my app. I did a refresh for anything that could be refreshed (Configuration Data URL, Report to Cloud URL, Register Device URL) and I noticed that all the URL's that had started life as http changed to https when refreshed! Anyway, it fixed the problem and push is working again, so I thought I'd share and see if it helps anyone. I had to do this for a few servers of mine and everything went smooth afterwords. Thanks for the post Alan.
