Hello friends, I have been busy lately in making a totally custom made android app. The app is a podcast app which is almost ready to be published. But i want some of the members to test this app and give me some feedback. Any positive or negatie feedback is welcome because it will help me in improvising my app. Thanks to all of you. Thanks @Mr stuck, Higgey. @suvinay Flashlight plugin... sounds cool. If you have the java and xml ready then just file it for approval. But first you will also need to fill some information and screenshots of your plugin in action.

when you created a new plugin in your cp, i take that you downloaded the zip file. in that zip file you will find the java and xml file with other files namely config.txt, icon.png, index.php, readme.txt, saveJSON.php and update.txt. Also 3 folders namely screenshots, source-android and source-ios. you need to fill the info in config.txt relating to json data that your plugin uses. in readme.txt fill up info about what your plugin does. take a look at the plugins section from link above this screen. you will find that all the plugins in the plugin section come with the info and json data they use.

How do I configure the json in my app?where do I have just in text or also in java

take a look at one of your bt projects asset folder. there is one file named config.txt. you need to put json data there if you want to use any plugin. the bt cp does that automatically for you when you create any screen or some item. but in case of custom plugin like yours you need to put it there manually.

Ok. Tested some. So far its good but on several pages the &nbsp appears in the text. Sure this code to allow spaces in html. Get a can't download more episodes message. Don't know if that's an issue or if its because they are already downloaded. One episode so far "the 18 notebooks" gives error cannot stream. Tested on galaxy s2 Hope this helps and will test further and let you know.

Thanks Alan for testing the app. The can't download toast you are getting because the list is already downloaded. In any case i will remove that toast coz it was meant for testing purpose. Some episodes like number 4 and some others wont play because those are text or picture posts. They are not audiocast. The &bnsp thing needs to be corrected from the blog itself. I will ask Lawrence to make those corrections.

Hey Sandeep; It looks nice. About the only thing I would say is while I'm in the light, things look great. When I get into the shadows, it's a little more difficult to see the black lettering against the dark blue/light blue checkered background. Otherwise, I have nothing to add; nice job :) Cheers! -- Smug

Thanks Alan. I really appreciate you all for testing this app. @Higgey tested the app on his tablet and found that it was not compatible for tablets. The text looked too small. I have made all the changes and the app is now compatible for tablets too. I kept the background image on request of my friend. I have submitted the app for approval and will inform you all when the app gets published.

Ah. That might explain my review; I use a Galaxy Tab II for my Android test device, usually. It's all I have other than a simulator, for the moment. Cheers! -- Smug

Thanks John, actually i had never done an app which supported tablets as well. The trickis to create all the layout files and put them in layout folder named layout_large. When i made those files, i then tested the app on emulator api level 13. And this trick really worked.

However, he also is a student of history and religious philosophy. Mr. Lawrence Manzo spent a year studying abroad at Delhi, India and fell in love with the vibrant and colorful country.
