Android Dev

I am building a BT app for iOS and need an Android version. I am looking for a long term venture. Multiple apps possible. This would be for business use. Please let me know if you have any questions. Here is a full version of the app: http://goo.gl/fvGfm @fred I am still down here in Knox Since DM's are down this email is best. Thank you [email protected] PS: I hope nobody scolds me for soliciting. Don't have another avenue for BuzzTouch programmers.

Hi Isills81, What is keeping you from building the Android version from your control panel? I downloaded the IOS version and looks like you should easily be able to replicate in Android. Great app by the way! Ian

@ianJamesPiano Thank you, I have followed many times the help you have posted. As for the Android, I could be looking at building 20 apps at a time both so I wouldn't have the time to build Android and iOS. Thanks for the kind words. Does anyone have experience with Parse.com rest API?

Maybe I'm not following? You build one app in your control panel. Then download the source for both IOS and Android. Good to go for both platforms. Thanks for the kind words too:) Ian

I understand the source code is made for me....but with my (limited iOS) experience I find that I do a LOT in Xcode (push notifications ect...) and figured I would have to learn Eclipse as well as I know Xcode.... am I wrong?

Ahh yes. I bet you would be comfy with Eclipse after a day or so. I too prefer Xcode. Eclipse is a bit slow sometimes. I have not added Push notifications into my Android apps yet:) Let me know where you get stuck with Eclipse. ian

@lsills81 I certainly understand why you would like to concentrate on iOS... I created an iOS app in no time and got it working in xcode. It did take several tries to get it approved by Apple, that's a different story. Love Buzztouch! I was under the impression that Buzztouch builds once packages twice. Not so. Many things break and are different when packaging for the Android. I still haven't gotten it to work even with all the excellent help from the forums. Hate Android!
