The data would only have to be refreshed every year, and I'd think it would only take a few dozen if statements to make the entire app work. Out of curiosity, would you anticipate it calculating and making a calendar entry, or would you expect the app to pop up and notify the user. Calculating and generating calendar entries would be a lot easier than the latter as chances are the app wouldn't be running.

Absolutely up to suggestions. Whichever would be easier as long as it gets the job done. Would you be interested in working on this with me?

Simplistically adding the calendar event through a tap is straight text, Just having a date and time in a plain HTML page automatically links through iOS and lets you add a calendar entry. I gotcha. I think that would be a great option, it would be nice to have it as a calendar entry through an API but I agree its would probably be way too time consuming. My biggest issue is writing the code in order to get to that point where the user can have the final date their taxes are due and have the option to add the date to their calendar. Because there are so many different variables. The good thing is that once its set up, it's doesn't have to be touched again for another year because the tax due dates obviously won't change.
