Updates in Android not working

Hi, When I make updates in the Control Panel they do not reflect in my Android device even though I get prompted for updates. The application seems to be loading the updated file from the Data URL but none of the changes are reflected in the application. The Cloud URL and Data URL have the default settings and when I check the the Data URL in a browser it has indeed the latest version with the modification. Has anybody else had a similar problem?

Hi @Rostos, Copy the config. data from your control panel and replace it in your config file under assets. Do a refresh/project clean and see if that helps. LA

Thanks @LA, This works but the problem still remains for changes that I would like to do after releasing the application.

Hey @Rotsos, The refresh on your Android phone/device does reflect any changes when it prompts you to refresh? I believe in your control panel, under your plugin your using (you indicated data url so your using maybe the url link?), there is an option that says do not cache..try checking that so it does not cache and forces an update. Let's see if this helps. LA

Thanks for the help @LA. I have tried the application on a different device and the updates are working just fine. My first device that was not working was an HTC wildfire and the one that worked was a galaxy S III. Not sure why the updates do not work on my old HTC but maybe it has to do with the Android version?

I've noticed something odd. Compiling an app with freshly copied live mode config.txt. Immediately save it all, clean, run it on a device after uninstalling the last version. As soon as it starts it prompts to update even though it has the latest config. Something's not right. Tim

@WolfTimJ, Yes I have seen that also even in design mode. It will prompt me for an update and nothing has changed but when I want an update then of course it doesn't prompt me..lol LA
