Switch to a Tab through Menu (List)?

I'm making an App with multiple tabs. However, the first and primary tab is "Home", which is a List Menu. Is it possible to link to tabs DIRECTLY from a list menu? By that, I mean when a user hits an item on the menu list, it takes him to ANOTHER tab. If I didn't make myself 100% clear, let me know. Thanks

yes you can, but it allows the user to use both the home tab and the "back" button to get back home. This is a weird user experience (you'd have to see it to really understand it, I suppose). But it is possible. Just link the list menu item to the same screen that's used for the tab setting.

Strobe, I know that, but I want to prevent that and actually switch to the other tab. Is that possible?

Only solution is to use splash screen, link to splash screen, then splash screen takes you to home screen. Fred
