Android Set Up Basics in BT 2.0

Hi, I've been following Fred's Myskylla excellent Guide To Buzztouch and I have some questions about the following recommendations: 1. Allow Install to SD Card (add the following line to the Manifest) android:installLocation="preferExternal" 2. Implement the Wheel of Death Solution 3. Update the BT_config.txt file My queries: Are these all still needed? What do they each achieve? For 3. Update the BT_config.txt file - Do I literally copy all the text from BT Server Configuration Data screen, and paste it into Eclipse in the BT-config.txt file (located in assets folder)? I'd be grateful to know. Kind regards, John PS You can find Fred's guide at www.MySkylla.com

1. Allow Install to SD Card (add the following line to the Manifest) android:installLocation="preferExternal" Yes it's important for various reasons: Many users still have older devices with limited memory. Your app will get many one star ratings if you don't. 2. Implement the Wheel of Death Solution Depends when you downloaded the plugins. Buzztouch updated the plugins but that doesn't automatically update the plugins installed on your self-hosted server or apps. 3. Update the BT_config.txt file Apple will reject you if you don't. Realize this is Android thread, but Android users will complain just the same. For 3. Update the BT_config.txt file - Do I literally copy all the text from BT Server Configuration Data screen, and paste it into Eclipse in the BT-config.txt file (located in assets folder)? Yes Best link is www.MySkylla.com (Currently in the process of moving the site, therefore the Dropbox link may not work soon. ) Fred

Hi Fred, Many, many thanks. I've updated the link. Kind regards, John PS Do I literally add android:installLocation="preferExternal" to the manifest file or do I have to add some sort of code around it?

Sorry, Fred, I cannot work out where android:installLocation="preferExternal" goes. Could you give me a little more info about where I paste it in the manifest, please? John
