New App in the iTunes Store: Workout Randomizer

Hello everyone, Time to announce another iOS App Store approval. This time is "Workout Randomizer" as seen here: http://bit.ly/Ml94bc Another rapidly produced project, thanks to my List Menu Tool and AppListMaker. I'm proving to myself how important it is to not duplicate efforts when possible. Thanks as always to the BuzzTouch team for making this all possible!

Cool looking app, dude. As someone who likes to stay fit but who hates hanging around the gym, this is right up my alley.

Just bought it! Looks sweet! A tutorial on randomizing options like that would be super, super cool! Mark

And a sweet app option would be, once you've selected your exercises and number of sets, to be able to hit Go! and have a countdown clock for each exercise, for the number of sets! That would rock! Mark

Good idea on the countdown timer. I've got one of those in the "Tuff n Muddy" app. And as I was finishing this one up (for a client), I realized the exercises were referenced to time instead of reps, like the Ab Randomizer. And I thought it needed a timer, but the client was anxious to get it in the store. Perhaps in the next update. P.S., use the email screen to email Trish, and tell her where you found it, and what your suggestion is for the timer. I'll get bonus points with my client for sending a customer, and perhaps some update work, too. Thanks Mark!

Regarding the tutorial, the UI Picker that's used turns out to be more of a pain than it should be (go figure). I've coded in several other languages, so I have a general idea of how controls should be implemented. And Apple finds a completely different way. There is a very slight chance that I could make a pseudo-plugin out of that screen. But I couldn't give it away, since my client is actually licensing the code from me and my partner. I'd have to charge a similar license fee for every use, as per our agreement, to avoid a ton of copy-cat apps creating competition for my client (and me, lol). Still kicking the idea around. Not sure how easy it would be to "plugin-ize".

Looks great. excellent idea. after you get the timer, the next feature you really need is the one that is able to motivate slackers like me to spin that dial. Maybe Push Notifications could be used like this to motivate folks.... 2nd app for that client right? She's starting to build a brand. Love the use of the dice in the icon.

actually, its # 5 for her. And I have 4 more in the works for her. She is definitely building a brand, which was her initial desire to get into the app market. I like the "push" idea. But I'd probably get a little offensive with it.... "Hey Slacker, you paid the $.99, now get off your ass and use me!"

I think you need to enable your contact options in your BT profile. I didn't see a pvt msg option.

Nice work Stobe. Olympic spirit has got us by the you-know-whats here in the UK so a fitness app seemed appropriate for our app of the week! http://tradeboxmedia.com/?p=277
