New plugin idea

I think that a good plugin idea would be a page that allows you to sign up to be a member (log into the app). It would be great if the app could have a page where its setup like a form or like a email that gets sent to you with the email password and username. Because the way i have had to do it is: get them to email me and then i have to exchange emails with them about their details. It would be great if you could have a form where the enter the details and it gets sent to you. It would make the app more professional looking, and make it easier. Regards Jawdoss

you could use something like JotForm in a custom URL page until such a plugin exists.

Sounds like a good idea for a plugin. I use Wufoo.com for forms to collect information to add clients to my apps. It auto gives confirmation to clients that its been successful. believe it can also auto respond with email. Also if you don't want to use custom url screen you can create the form and download the form code to add to and compile with your project

SO you can create it and put it into a html and run the plugin as a html doc, so it doesn't use internet? If thats what you mean, that would be great. Something like that would make a good plugin, it would be good if buzz touch made one like that, that links the account so you don't have to create it manually.

Yes you download html with css folder etc and it can be added to project. Check it out as you can make 3 forms with 100 entries per month for free. also has analytics

I guess with some coding you send the info direct to a database so the whole process become automated. That's not something i can do as i don't know much about databases but something i am willing to learn as Mark has some interesting stuff that can be done using a database and gps location etc. Exciting times ahead for Buzztouch and all its users i think.

Let me know if it works for you. Would be good if something like this was available on Buzztouch as you may run into problems with duplicate user names in the future unless you know how to create script to check against stored names in your databases but again this is not something i know how to implement.

I have run into a potential issue... It is against there terms of service to put a password field in and to collect a password. I have gotten past this by naming the field 'passkey' instead of 'password.' It has allowed this but, i am afraid that it might eventually take the form down :/

Sorry to hear that. never collected any passwords before so i have never run into that issue. Perhaps you can collect password another way. You can send customers to url of your choice after they have completed the form so may be able to set up a password creation screen elsewhere and link to it.
