app does not display the text content when it is not highlighted

Hello everyone! I've been trying to submit my first iOS app, but am having troubles. I've tested it on my iPhone 4s and iPad 2, both running the latest software, and it worked fine. It also works fine in my simulator. Both times I've tried submitting it, though, it was rejected for the following reason: 2.2 We found that your app exhibited one or more bugs, when reviewed on iPad (3rd generation) running iOS 5.1.1, on both Wi-Fi and cellular networks, which is not in compliance with the App Store Review Guidelines. The app does not display the text content when it is not highlighted. Please see the attached screenshots for more information. You can take a look at the screen here: http://postimage.org/image/hujhhtqqp/ Under global themes, I have these settings: screen background color: blank background image: bglarge.png scale/position: not selected Any idea of how to fix this? I'm clueless. The thing is, I can't test it because I don't have an iPad 3. It seems to be working fine on my ipad 2. I'd really appreciate any help.

Can you take a screenshot of the same menu on your iPad 2?

Hi @kevindosi, Were you able to test it on the iPad simulator? I've found that sometimes we have to override the global themes in order to get things to work, and do that on an individual screen basis. So, in the Advanced Properties section for the menu list, make sure you have the things set you want as well. Also check to make sure menu list text is set to white..it appears you have black on black. Mark

Thanks for your effort to help, everyone. Here's a screenshot from my iPad 2, where it looks fine: http://postimage.org/image/97qkxu2db/ I've tested it on the iPad simulator, and all works fine. I don't want the menu to be black. I don't know why it's black at all, actually. I want the menu to be white (or clear), and the text to be black so that it shows the background image. I could go through every menu (over a hundred) and make the menu background color white... but wouldn't that cover my background image?

That is very strange that it works on iPad2 but not iPad3. I'm seeing some similar issue with Android and the different versions of that OS. Not quite sure what to make of it yet! Mark

I notice the screenshot Apple sent appears to be your IR Verbs menu, but the screenshot from your iPad 2 may be from your Home screen(?). This makes me wonder: Is the iPad 3 issue only occurring on the one menu? Is it a global problem with every menu? Or just a few (only the screenshots Apple included)? Rather than looking through all of the 100+ menus, perhaps if we focused on it either being a global issue (global theme) or the 1 menu that you have shared (IR verbs). Have you investigated the IR Verbs menu to see what your background settings are for that screen? It would be helpful to know what the screen background and list layout selections are. I guess I am wondering if you have included the @2x images that the Retina iPads need, and if not, then whatever existing settings are being pulled and used. If you don't have any settings in the global theme, I wonder if they are coming from the individual menus.

Thanks for the responses, everyone. Oilman, what do you mean by the @2x images? What images do I need to replace, and what size must they be?
