App rejected - 10.6 and additional native iOS functionaility

Hi All, Created an app and submitted it to App Store successfully in May, 2012. Made some changes (better quality images) and submitted to app store for update. They rejected the app quoting 10.6. Here is the response. Binary Rejected Jul 9, 2012 02:52 PM Reasons for Rejection: · 10.6: Apple and our customers place a high value on simple, refined, creative, well thought through interfaces. They take more work but are worth it. Apple sets a high bar. If your user interface is complex or less than very good it may be rejected. Specifically, we noticed your app would benefit from additional native iOS functionality to give the user a more engaging experience. We have changed nothing that would qualify us for rejection. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Shalabh

Hi Shalabh, If all you did was improve the image quality, and this is only an update to an existing, published app, I'd contest the rejection! Seems to me that if they approved it once with the current feature set, that simply improving the look should be an automatic approval. It's worth a shot to argue against the rejection. Mark

Hi Shalabh, and Hi GoNorthWest, I just received the same news from apple itunes about the 10.6 line. But mine was an initial app submission. Any news on how to resolve the issue? Specifically did you get it through?
