Build BOTH iPhone and iPad App

How would I take a completely built app from the the Apple App Store, complied as a "universal app" and create a separate iPhone and iPad app. Is there NO other way then to start from scratch and rebuild both as separate apps? Thanks My goal is URL based PDF's and images for iPhone and embedded for iPad. Right now EVERYTHING is embedded and it is 126 MB. OR would I archive the iPad version with everything embedded and then save a copy of the app folder for the iPhone. Re-Saved the xcode project file and delete the images not needed in the iPhone version and archive as iPhone? Thanks

yup, you've got the right idea. You can save some time by doing it the way you described in your last paragraph. If you do so, I suggest you document (by paper or text files, in a folder somewhere) everything you change from one to the other. This way when it comes time to do an update, you can remember what needs to go where. Its all easy when the app structure is still valid in the BT control panel, but when you start doing things manually, I find it best to document your steps.

Yep! you've got the right idea for it, you can do it that way if you want and it will save some time.
