problems after updates to iOS app

Apparently there's a bit of a problem when you update your iOS app. http://www.marco.org/2012/07/04/app-store-corrupt-binaries It's not affecting all the iOS apps but it may affect your app. You might want to consider delaying an update for now. Fred

Per AllThingsD and TechCrunch, Apple has now commented on the binary corruption problem; it says the server issue that was responsible for problematic DRM code has been rectified. http://allthingsd.com/20120705/apple-says-it-has-fixed-server-bug-that-led-to-crashing-apps/

I just ran my project that was is in the Apple store as we speak and it had 25 errors all having to to with (this is just 1 example) "setStatusBarHidden: animated" is depreciated. WTF....could this coincide with Apple binary problems? It was running fine last night...

The new sdk will give those errors, I first started seeing them with xcode 4.3

I believe it only affects new binarys. Don't know if your program its related. Fred

Those errors are due to the new sdk. A deprecation warning means that you are using something that will not be supported in the future. But if your setting a lower target device you need to keep the code as is.

Should of said set your target device lower and errors should go away, try setting target level to 3.0

@Arubaman Yup...that was it. Thank you very much!!!! One more question Jedi Master....I have 2 files that I have put in my Xcode Project. I have tried every know way to delete these files without having Xcode throw up an error. Any suggestions other then the basic deleting and or removing the reference file, then deleting it from the App Folder on the desktop. Thank you!

Hi @lsills81, To delete a file from Xcode, all you "should" have to do is right-click the file in Xcode, and select delete. Make sure you don't have your program running first. Then do a Product...Clean. That should remove any links to that code. Mark
