Client Access to One App in Self-Hosted

Is there a way to give a client access to only a specified app in my self-hosted panel? I see there are two options for setting up users, Admin or Normal. Normal allows access to all of the apps in the self-hosted panel--the idea is that the client would only be able to access one app. My thought is that I would initially load all of the data for a client, but then the client would be able to maintain the data. Ideally, they would do this through my panel with my logo on it. Thank you!

Im pretty sure there is a way to this, but requires a little bit of simple modding. I would check buzztouchmods.com.

If you create a normal user account, they will ONLY be able to see applications created by that account! Cheers, David buzztouchmods.com

"Normal allows access to all of the apps in the self-hosted panel" - Normal only gives access to the apps made by that account. You can move apps from your account to their account, if their app is already in your account. Cheers, David buzztouchmods.com

Thanks, David! Do you mean I would set up a separate self-hosted panel for the client?

Nono! You can create a new user (account) from the admin options on your current control panel :) Cheers Susan! David buzztouchmods.com

Just as you have an account with Buzztouch.com the user would have an account on your server. Fred

I see what you mean. The app must be initially made on the client's sub account (Admin-->Control Panel Users-->Add New User-->Select User Type "Normal"). So what I would do is set up sub account for each client, and log in as the client and create the app. When finished, give control of the app (with username and password) to the client. Then, when I need to access the app, I would open it up on the control panel (Admin-->Application List) because the app wouldn't display in the Account Home area. Thank you, David!

Hi Susan, You can create an app for a client with your own account. Once it's finished and you want to give access to the client, you can create a new user and after that go to admin --> application list and check the app you want to tansfer --> below all the applications there is a dropdown-list (actions menu) with the option "change application owner" --> select --> now on top of the screen there is a dropdown-list (select new owner) --> select and submit. Done! Best Regards, Danny
