Suggestions on where to purchase images?

I think I've got a decent handle on the development aspect of this, many thanks to this forum for all the help! One area in which I lack is graphics. I'm awful with Photoshop and am not terribly inclined towards that kind of work. Any suggestions on where I could purchase graphics/icons for my app? I am concerned about the licenses used by most stock icon sets (as well as duplication). Do any of you have a designer you get stock sets from? How do you all handle this? Thanks! Chris

Thanks for the offer! I was thinking of trying to find a large set of icons to use. I also use BT with my 6th grade students and I'd like to have a set to offer them to use. I still worry about the licensing, though. As for my app, it's a technology/training app, so a techy icon set would be nice. Thanks for responding! Chris

This is a nice set for a good deal: http://www.mightydeals.com/deal/symbolicons2.html?refID=90a17d and here's another set: http://www.mightydeals.com/deal/pixglyphs2.html?refID=90a17d As a disclaimer, those are affiliate links. But rest assured I never refer anyone to places I haven't dealt with before and been very happy with. Always good deals to be found. And here's the license info on the first set: "All icons are royalty-free for personal, commercial and client projects."

@Stobe - Great links. iconarchive.com has a lot of interesting icons. For photos, illustrations and other items, I like istock.com and bigstockphoto.com

Just in case anyone was interested in the MightyDeals products I linked to above, you can use "FREEDOM" as a promo code to get an extra 25% off today only (July 4th). And I don't mean to spam my affiliate links, but with the extra discount, they are a real good deal.

Stobe, As a thank you to you for your podcast and support of this community, I bought the symbolicons deal through your affiliate link using the coupon code. $11.25 to support their development felt like a fair price and you getting a kick back was the icing. Thanks for all your help. I'm also looking at other sites for students to use, but this will get me started nicely. Chris

Thanks Chris. You can never have too many icons! And if you ever need any help brainstorming ideas for your students to do, let me know. -Stobe
