v2.0 quiz saying there are no questions.

I have a quiz in my android v2.0 application. When you start the quiz it says 'there are no questions associated with this quiz' (or something along those lines). Then i tap ok. and the questions are there and they are play-able. i don't know why its saying there are no questions? also how do you set up a leader board? regards, jawdoss

yes. Everything works fine after that. my only other issue with it that the quiz doesn't stop after the number of questions I have it set too and they don't randomize either.

Same here, except the quiz not stopping. We are just going to have to wait till someone who knows more to comment on the post.

First thing that comes to mind here is that perhaps your configuration file is out of sync. Before compiling your app, go into your control panel for your app, hit the Configuration Data link, copy the info there, and then paste into your BT_Config.txt file. That ensures what you've configured on the server is the same as what you have locally. Next go to Project...Clean, and run that. Finally, compile as normal. Not sure that will solve the problem, but it'll certainly eliminate a potential variable. Mark

I have done this twice before and still no luck. Will try again soon if all else fails.

Did you make sure to do a Project...Clean? That's just as important as the syncing of the configuration files. It breaks any old code links that might be hosing things up. If you want, you can send me your source package and I can try and run it through my Eclipse to see what's up. MrkFleming @ gmail dot com Mark

I would also like to know how to put a leader board to the end of the quiz. I'm using android so game centre isn't an option. so thats what make this hard. You can hook it up to a link in the control panel, but i have no link to do that with?

@jawdoss- I was curious about the new quiz plugin for android and created a new app using it. Even i faced same problem and a pop up message used to pop up at the start of the quiz with an error message saying 'there are no questions associated with this quiz'. I gave a look at the BT_screen_quiz .java file and went to line number 986 which runs an follows: showAlert("No Questions?", "This quiz does not have any questions associated with it?"); Then i commented that line using // in front of that line. Which looks like this after commenting: //showAlert("No Questions?", "This quiz does not have any questions associated with it?"); After putting the // in front of the line number 986, i checked whether my app works normally and found that this did the trick for me. Now the error message pop up doesn't show up and quiz starts normally. I think this is not the correct solution for this kind of problem however, it works perfectly.

Hi @Sandeep, I found the same thing earlier today, and your workaround should take care of that error message for sure. But it doesn't address the issue with why the code says there are no questions in the quiz. I've sent an email to David @ buzztouch, and hopefully he's able to look into it soon! But, it is a holiday tomorrow here in the States, so it may take a bit. Mark

@GoNorthWest- Yes even i fear that this is only a temporary solution and there might be a way to set this error message problem some how not to show at all when there are questions available in the quiz. Thanks that you have contacted @David informing this issue and dont worry about delays because we all can wait for few more days for this issue to be addressed. And a very Happy Independence Day to you all!!

Ok, that would fix my problem... for now. But i think that david should find out what is happening wrong, in order to fix up all the misconceptions. :) thanks @sandeep i'm sure there are going to be a fe people in this post, that will be pleased. Instead of adding the // i just changed it to make a good luck message.
