PDF on Buzztouch

Yeah I have a question as well- I created a simple app that has just 3 pdfs. The pdfs are saved on Buzztouch's pdf plugin online. However, when I run the app on my ios device, I can never access the pdfs because of "cannot be accessed because of no internet connection". This is weird because I have perfect internet connection on my laptop and at home. Can someone please explain why the pdf's won't display when I run my app even though they are perfectly saved on Buzztouch? Thanks

The pdfs are saved on my buzztocuh account and the tabs are on my homescreen e.g. Formula 1 tab should go to its pdf that's saved on the page, but when I run it on simulator and device the pdf never shows up even though its saved perfectly

Have you copied the pdf files to your xcode project?

I don't think you can save pdfs to your account. Not sure what you mean. In the pdf screen you have two options - a pdf name (which would be a file you embed in your app through xcode) or a url to a pdf on your own server or dropbox type account. If you use the file name option, then once you've downloaded your source code, you'll need to drag the pdf into xcode and place it in the BT_Docs folder to work.

Make sure you drag them into xcode into the docs folder. You should get a message asking you to choose options. Make sure you select "Copy items into destination group's folder" and "Create groups for any added folders." Also make sure your target is selected.

Hi, Another suggestion: what are the filesnames of the pdf files? Make sure they have no spaces in the filename. Best Regards, Danny

Hi guys, i also did the same thing - including the pdf files on BT_docs on my Xcode project as well as on my control panel under files/media. I would assume that users can open these files on my app without internet connection right?

If the files are embedded an internet connection is not necessary.

Hi there - I am trying to move my pdf in the BT_Docs folder but .... I can't find the folder in Xcode! Can anyone give me a clue please? I can see BT_Config, BT_Art, BT_Layout and BT_Core (plus Frameworks and Products) but not BT_Docs. If I use the Xcode menu "File' - 'Add file to "Appname' if just appears in the root folder but that doesn't seem to make it work in the app.

Hi fratony, Inside the zipfile you've downloaded with your app there's a manual inside. In the manual is described that you have to drag 5 folders into your Xcode project. Read this manual and you'll understand. Best Regards, Danny http://www.bt-addons.com
