My apps rejected 10.6

10.6: Apple and our customers place a high value on simple, refined, creative, well thought through interfaces. They take more work but are worth it. Apple sets a high bar. If your user interface is complex or less than very good it may be rejected i have work app on world doc maps Quiz Email US Share via FB Shae via TW Shave via text / sms pls help me how i can do more for approvals this is screen my app Thanks BT team ! http://bit.ly/LGPwj4 http://bit.ly/MwPxHt http://bit.ly/LVGPOK http://bit.ly/QE0iXz http://bit.ly/N05wbO http://bit.ly/NNjaQF

Got hit with two 10.6s last week on apps which were identical in features UI & design concept to previously approved apps. With Apple's refusal to be specific about what their problem is, it's driving me up the f*ckin wall.

What a pain - just curious, did any of the above apps charge $0.99 before they were submitted for review, or were they all freebies? I'm just trying to figure out the rhyme and reason behind apple's decision. I wonder if it's a total revenue issue.

Mine were paid - tier two. I'd love to know if there's been some recent change of policy. Most of all, I just wish they'd communicate with developers, keep us informed.

Me too. It seems like they are being more picky. I am changing the look of mine to a button menu with.four buttons that each open up a simple menu list. Before, I had a tabbed layout that opened to simple menus. I cannot improve the functionality because I already had a quiz and an interactive photo galllery.where users could upload photos which would be included in the gallery. I just don't get it either. I hope this is not the beginning of a trend, if so, I'm sunk as a developer.

@LaRusso Both my apps were button driven, HUGE quizzes, location maps, videos - same as others previously approved. I have the same fear as you, Apple may have just torpedoed me as a developer. Since they provide no explanation, their decisions seem arbitrary and they also take hefty amounts of OUR revenue (as well as charging us an annual fee for the privilege of making them money) I feel that they treat developers with nothing short of contempt. It leaves me fuming. The market 'reviews' itself - if you do a lame app it will receive one-star slatings and no-one will buy it, Apple should back the f off.

Yup. I'm actually pretty nervous about how this will play out. I do apps because I love doing it. I would.sell mobile websites to local businesses but I'm not good at being a salesman. Maybe it is time to get out of my comfort zone and learn how to sell.

we are experiencing the same, does this mean BT build apps are not allowed anymore? How can we prevent this from happening? This is what Apple says: Jul 10, 2012 07:51 AM. From Apple. Thank you for your response, we understand that there are no hard and fast rules to define this but it can be helpful to look at the apps featured on the App Store to get a feel for the type of experience our users expect. It would be appropriate to include additional native iOS functionality to give the user a more engaging experience. It sounds like the catalog type of apps are rejected by Apple recently. The app we build is almost natively working. So any suggestions are welcome :-)

My latest app also got rejected with a 10.6 today along with a few other minor issues. It also took 11 days for them to review. My biggest fear is I make a few tweaks and changes and have to wait another 11 days. My app consisted of a quiz with 77 questions along with links to Facebook, Twitter, Web pages, Image Gallery and Email support. Very frustrating. Good luck everyone!

Hello! I have the same problem with my application (10.6) ... It has been rejected many times. I've made several improvements suggested by the App Review Team, but unfortunately returned today to reject. I ask you to help solve my problem. You can see screenshots at: http://www.inforneris.com/screens/screenshots.html Thank you! Emanuel
