Does the Number of Views ever Reset?

I know that every month you are allowed a maximum number of 3000 views per app. I also noticed that there is a counter that keeps track on number of views in your control panel: "created: 05/15/2012 03:44 PM modified: 06/18/2012 11:46 PM vers: 2.0 views: 319" I was expecting this view counter above to reset monthly, but it hasn't? Is there a location where I can see number of views per month that will reset itself? Thanks!

Subscribed, Although I'm self hosted - Curiosity has gotten me. I would have guessed that it should have reset the date you created the application. Are you super super sure it hasn't? David buzztouchmods.com

@MrDavid, that is the behavior that I would have expected as well. I expected it to rollover on 5/15/12, which was my creation date, but it did not. I'm 100% sure that it didn't. -Ivan

Unless someone posts here about it, I would recommend sending buzztouch a email at [email protected] - then posting their reply here (if they don't reply here) since I can't find out the specific information on the site. or hopefully a member here will know what's going on and post the info ;) David buzztouchmods.com

I can probably answer this question. When I first joined buzztouch, i created a 1.4 app i was messing around with to learn the ropes. It still has the same view count as it did last year. So my answer is I believe it doesn't but buzztouch.com will notify you if your gonna go over your limit

We've done a poor job of communicating how the view count works in your control panel. We hope to make some improvements to this very soon. What you're seing know is an "all time" count. View Count is how many times - ever. Not per month. But, because we've recently introduced some monthly limitations (that differ depending on your account type) it's logical that you would also see a "monthly" view count. We've begun the necessary work to show you this information in your control panel but have not completed it yet. We are monitoring all sorts of things in the backend and will contact you if we think your app is approaching it's limit or if we think something is out of the ordinary with the apps volume. Example: Some apps "go-viral" very very quickly so we need to contact the app creators to help them formulate a growth plan on or off our back end. This is a long way to say there is no need to worry and we hope to show you monthly stats about each of your apps soon. In the meantime, you'll need to trust our judgement and approach to "keeping track of things" for you so your app doesn't get out of control too quickly without you knowing.
