Start menu!

Can I use a menu buttons screen as my opening screen rather than the simple menu? If so how. Pete.

Yes! In fact, I have an app that does that, though it's a tabbed layout. But, in general, you can use any screen that's not an action (like Call Us, Text Us, etc) for your home screen. I have another app that uses an HTML screen for the home screen. Mark

Nope, you don't have to use a tabbed layout at all. Totally your call. Mark

I have tried to use a menu buttons screen as my home screen and have added other screens inside it but when I run it in the emulator it goes straight to one of the other screens, the last one created. Pete.

Go to the tab layout settings in the Control Panel and set the menu screen as your home screen. Fred

Hi Mike, I was going to recommend what Fred says as well, though I expect you to come back and say it's set to the menu button screen already. If that is the case, and you are running it on the simulator, it could be that it's just taking time for the configuration file to get updated in the simulator, and so you're seeing the app from the last place you left it running. I've had that happen with real apps. You should be able to hit the app refresh button (upper left corner in your app), have it update the config file, and take you to the home screen. Let us know if that's not happening. Mark

Hi Fred, Thanks for the advice, I forgot to set the home screen in the layout settings, it works now! Pete.
