I think this may be what you're looking for: http://idevdepot.com/quiz-maker-tool/ It won't upload the questions and answers to the server, but it creates the complete data file that you can host somewhere (dropbox, etc). and avoids the need to type them all in the control panel. I recently used it to generate a couple thousand questions for an app, none of which were typed into the control panel :) For the sake of disclosure, I am the person who created it, and therefore this is in fact a sales pitch, lol. But ask around, others use it as well. And if you have any questions at all, just let me know.

@Stobe has the perfect tool. Another idea... a) Upload the excel spreadsheet to your PHP powered website. This of course assumes you have one of these ;-) b) Write a PHP script to open the Excel file, then output the JSON questions. c) Set the Data URL in the quiz to the PHP script you wrote. This approach will allow you to upload a new Excel spreadsheet to your website anytime you make changes to the quiz. Your PHP file will output the changes because it's reading the Excel sheet.

@stobe. looks like a great product the only thing that i would run into trouble with is im not able to scramble my ansers they are in a certain order and need to stay that way.... @david Ive got an excel file that is organized like the following |questionnumber|Correctanswer|Question|AnswerA|AnswerB|AnswerC|AnswerD| Im not a pro at this by any means but i know that there has got to be a way to automatically make the administration server for the app read directly from the excel file or to make them automatically add to the database. any suggestions?

In your quiz options you can tell it not to scramble the answers. That is transparent of my tool. David has the right idea, but its over my head. So i use the tool to write out to a file that is on my local hard drive and gets automatically synced to dropbox, at a pre-programmed url. Its about as automated as i can get without cracking open some php books and frying my brain, lol. Let me know if you have any more questions.

@Stobe yea davids suggestion is over mine as well. Let me get a little more detailed with what i have going here and maybe you can clear some things up. I have had an Administration program built and synced into my domain where i can go and edit all features of the app....basically like buzztouch just not as involved and for a single app only. the app communicates with the admin program(which holds the databases of questions)and outputs random questions to different categories of quizzes. How would i go about making my admin section communicate with this and the excel of quesitons so that the app will use them? Thanks

It sounds like you're looking for a solution to get your spreadsheet talking to your own admin section? (since your app already communicates with your admin section). The only thing I'm able to assist with is getting an excel sheet of questions into the correct format for a buzztouch quiz to use.
