Images Sizes

Hi, using the Picture Gallery plugin what are the recommended image sizes? I mean, I would like a full screen for the picture (IOS) but I also want them to be as small (in size) as possible. Thanks

For iOS, here are the general guidelines I use: iPhone / iPod Touch: 320 x 480 (Create for 640x960,and have phone scale down) iPad: 768 x 1024 If you use an image size that scales well from those, then you should be OK. Mark

Hey Mark, I have a question about this, I'm having someone create some custom images for my app and I need to know what sizes he needs to make them in and what format? Im asking for him to make the app icon, the background image (which will be roughly the same throughout the app), the opening screen, and a 'button' that will be on the opening screen. Thanks! Best, Matt

Oh and by the way, it's iOS, for iPhone / iTouch.

Hi Matt, For the app icon, I use a 512x512 image which can then be resized as needed. Having the higher resolution makes resizing it nicer. For background images, these should work: iPhone / iPod Touch: 320 x 480 (Create for 640x960,and have phone scale down) iPad: 768 x 1024 The opening screen can follow the sizes of the Default*.png files you see in your download package. The button should be some size that makes sense based on the opening screen. All these can be .jpg or .png. These do not take into account the Retina display stuff...I'd have to Google those image sizes. Mark
