pointless thread please delete

Well, I put together a Scringo (Android) tutorial, but ran out of time, so it's untested. Find it at www.MySkylla.com Let me know if it works. I may get back to it tomorrow or Sunday. Fred

Awesome!! Very excited to try this out myself and see what comes from it, after implementation, there's no way your not using enough native "features" to receive a rejection like that. Cheers, David. buzztouchmods.com

Scringo lets iPhone and Android users interact with each other. The service is comletely cross-platform, making Scringo perfetcly suitable for apps that work on ... ;) David buzztouchmods.com

I'm hesitant to write this...but the page keeps hanging on me using Chrome. Plus...when I visit the page, all I see is a description of Scringo, and no instructions on what to do with it. There appear to be two menu buttons of sorts, with no text on them, but that have the same URL as the main page. Did I miss something? Mark

Tested in FireFox, same results. Scringo description, but nothing other than that. Here is the main URL I'm accessing: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/42553454/MySkylla%27s%20Guide/Articles/SDK%20Tutorials/Scringo.html And here are the URLs of the two buttons with no text on them: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/42553454/MySkylla's%20Guide/Articles/SDK%20Tutorials/Scringo.html Looks to be the same. And still no instruction. Sorry to be so pedantic about this, but I'm a tester by profession, so it's hard for me to let that go! Mark

Found it! You hid it under the "Android" button that comes *before* the description of the product. Never would have thought to click there except through playing around! Direct link for anybody who is interested (but of course, it may not be there tomorrow): http://dl.dropbox.com/u/42553454/MySkylla's%20Guide/Articles/SDK%20Tutorials/Scringo.html#two Looks like a fairly complete description! @Mark, you apparently don't understand how I do things so instead of doing what your doing just let it be. IMHO your not looking good. But it's your call since it's an open forum. Either way your post is what I expected, no surprise. Fred

I completely understand how you do things...that's the issue! Just trying to make sure that the people who follow you can find the information you promised, and that it's accurate. Would do that for anybody posting such info! Glad I was able to meet your expectations! Mark

To anyone considering posting in this thread I simply ask that you not address Mark's post, if you feel you must there's always the option of starting another thread. Goof night. Fred

Fred - I've given it some thought, and from this point forward, I intend to let your work speak for itself. I'll no longer post comments on any guides or tutorials you create. As Depeche Mode says..."Enjoy the Silence!" Mark

Love that Depeche Mode song. Fred just for the record, I've worked in the hosting industry for 10+ yrs and your site is impossible to navigate and not conducive to a pleasant end user experience. That's why I never look at your links. Sorry mate, I'm with Mark, if you cannot listen to constructive criticism and choose to blindly march on with your 'visit my site, you'll find all sorts of info' I too will have to pass your posts by from now on. Ps I'm sure you expected this from me as well.

Constructive criticism is one thing stupid idiotic behavior is another. In his last tutorial I posted one word, and only one word "excellent". Sometimes the choice of words is important and strategic. I didn't try to make myself the issue or behave as a petulant child. In a previous post I sent him various emails pointing out the various errors in his post. He has received many compliments, and will receive many more, regarding said post. Had it not been for my private corrections he actually should have been slammed for a poorly thought out and erroneous post. Now, you decide if his post here are constructive and well thought out. Many times I've sent private post to someone in this or another public forum because I prefer constructive criticism in an appropriate manner over becoming the center of attention. As I said above this thread is about Scringo (Android) not Mark, not you and not me. I would appreciate it if you and him would edit your post to reflect that and in turn I will do the same. The "edit" feature is a very nice feature, let's use it wisely. I would think that is a good solution. You have my email, you can send me a private post, you can post on the forum. When you use one or the other is your choice, just choose wisely, because your choice reflects more about you than it does about me. As for "blindly matching on with my site", I've made many changes to my site based on feedback and will continue to do so. It's a free site, you're welcome to use it or not, but there's no reason to make a issue. And no I didn't expect this from you, I expected better. Fred

Fred, I have no intention of editing my posts. Before I write something and post it - anywhere at all - I carefully consider what I have written, and does it reflect what's in my heart, and does it communicate the message I want it to about me and the subject at hand. There have been times when I realize it doesn't, so I hit the backspace and either edit it or delete it completely. When I finally do hit the Submit button, it's with much consideration and thought. I stand by what I've written. Mark

"Fred - I've given it some thought, and from this point forward, I intend to let your work speak for itself. I'll no longer post comments on any guides or tutorials you create. As Depeche Mode says..."Enjoy the Silence!" Mark" Reminds me of the commercial where the guy says, "You don't understand the silent treatment". Again this thread "was" about Scringo (Android) not about you or me or my site. You'd made it about you, perhaps out of a need for attention, I don't know since it's your issue not mine. Fred
