Upload files

I am finding that I cannot upload files into BT while on my iPad. Just using it for casual things but wonder why? Is that a limitation of the iPad?

It is a limitation. Apple does not currently let users upload files using Safari. Safari does not have that capability. Apple may revamp Safari in the future (iOS 6 is coming out this fall). However, if you really want to upload files from your iPad, there other internet surfing apps that you could download to your iPad specifically for that purpose. I believe that iSwifter allows you to upload files to the internet but I am not 100% positive. You could download it for free (for a 7 day trial and then a small-priced upgrade) and see for yourself. iSwifter also supports flash content. See here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/iswifter-flash-web-browser/id388857173?mt=8 Cheers, Munny1

What's up RenLee? Contrary to what apple may want you to believe (that the ipad can be as good as a mac/pc) it's extremely limited. There are FTP apps out there, and mods for uploading, however you would need to jailbreak. Unless you have some programming/modding experience, and are tech savy, I wouldn't recommend it. Let's see what happens with iOS6 as Munny says :) David buzztouchmods.com

Actually you do not always need to jailbreak. iSwifter is an app that hosts their own server so that when you surf the web with their app, you connect to their server instead of Apple's. In this way, they are able to let you have a full internet experience (although the speed is not as good as Safari). And, you do not need to jailbreak. You can get iSwifter from the App Store and experience full flash and uploading and other things. I use iSwifter and I love it, although the speed and overall quality is a little shy of Safari. Your kidding me, it allows flash? I feel like apple wouldn't have let that through - but if so - freaking awesome find munny! David buzzztouchmods.com

Oh now this is cool... I hope to god apple isn't going to take this down any time soon. This whole "we don't use flash" is getting old. I almost forgot how much I missed it. David buzztouchmods.com

I have been using it for a while and Apple has not said anything, so hopefully they will not get rid of this app. I love iSwifter. Flash on the iPad, it is too good to be true! Munny1

http://news.cnet.com/8301-27076_3-20083241-248/iswifters-flash-workaround-app-coming-to-the-mac/ Apple has been shipping MAC OS without flash. Go figure. Good article ^ David buzztouchmods.com

But I think that iSwifter experience is not altogether so powerful, efficient, and fast. Installing flash would make everything have better quality than iSwifter, managed through their servers.

Right I read that - iSwifter has it go all through their servers - I would expect the more popular it becomes, the slower it becomes. It's not bad right now - It's better then no flash at all. But you think apple will ever allow real flash into ios? They will push html5 until they die! David buzztouchmods.com

Very True! I do have to say, Apple accomplished a lot with HTML5 but still, flash would be awesome!
