Hi Cody, Welcome to buzztouch! No such plugin exists at the moment. You'd either have to write one yourself, and find a third party developer to help you out. Mark

This highlights a reason why I'm struggling to build any meaningful plugins. A voice recorder - relatively straightforward to add to a project, but then what? How to use the sound? How does that sound integrate into the rest of the app? Calender alert, ringtone, synthesizer, sticky notes etc etc. So many unknown variables, each one adding more complexity to the plugin. No point in building a plugin that's only going to satisfy a handful of people. It's a major stumbling block for me in plugin creation.

The way I've handled this so far @raveyd is to create the code that I need for "today's" project, and build on that for the next one. Eventually, it comes together into something that's more useful as a whole. And at that point, its worth looking into creating a plugin out of it. @Cody, that seems like a good plugin to add to the toolbox. There may be something at CodeCanyon that can be pieced together into an app, and eventually ported into a plugin.

@Cody - as @GoNorthWest said, none exist just yet - but sounds like a cool idea and I'm sure eventually we'll have something like this made. @raveyd I understand the frustration I do.. just ask @ATRAIN ;) but done step by step it becomes easier with time, it's all about understanding the way bt works with plugins... I don't even know all the nooks and crannies and have quite a few plugins stopped because of it. Just keep trying. @Stobe Yep step by step. Great advice. David buzztouchmods.com

Hi @MrDavid, Building plugins isn't too much of a problem, building and saving JSON, building it up in the .java etc is fine. But take the example of a sound recorder. Fairly easy to integrate, but as I say above, what to do with the sound? Saving to SD card would be default, but then what? Some people might want the sound as an app background sound, or a ringtone or a reminder or to play in a player or to share within the app or some other function within their app etc etc etc. That's where plugin development breaks down as it's impossible to know what people want and it's pointless (unless it's paid) to build something that only a few people might find useful. @Stobe - Good approach, thanks.

@raveyd - perhaps offer a option for all of those? turn on or off options ect. build it for everyone so to speak. lots of work through. David buzztouchmods.com
