Buzztouch Android Woes

I just want to say Buzztouch is awesome and I love to be a part of it. I am concerned about the Android translation. I have downloaded the project codes for the IOS and they look great in the simulator, but when I download the android version it doesn't work well at all. Refresh buttons are missing in the navigation bar. background images are missing. The overall functionality of the application is not reliable. I used the 1.5 version to design these apps. many are selling on apple now, but I cant put this on google they just aren't sellable. How can I address this. I have made sure the settings are correct and everything has been installed in eclipse. Android versions just are not translating well.

Refresh buttons are missing in the navigation bar. That's an iOS feature, Android did use a hardware button, now it's moving to a non-hardware button, but either way you don't have to worry about it. background images are missing. Which images do you refer to? The overall functionality of the application is not reliable. Many would differ, you're starting into a new platform, there's a learning curve. I used the 1.5 version to design these apps BTv1.5 (Android) I a very limited, use BTv2.0 (Android) Fred

let me rephrase. Im not saying buzztouch is unreliable by any means. what im saying is the current situation im experiencing is making my android app unreliable to put it up for for sell I have to address these issues. Im aware the issue is on my end and not with buzztouch. But I still need to know how to link to a website without throwing the user out because there is no way for them to navigate back to the app because there is no refresh button

I'm not familiar how iOS does it but for Android I would suggest a Right Bar Nav button. Fred

"That's an iOS feature, Android did use a hardware button, now it's moving to a non-hardware button, but either way you don't have to worry about it." What do you mean here, Fred? I've come to accept that you have to use the hardware button to initiate a refresh of the app (which is necessary sometimes because it doesn't always seem to auto refresh), and it would be cool that it's moving to a software feature (is that documented somewhere?). But why don't we have to worry about it? A solid refresh ability is a critical feature. Mark

New devices use the software button. You don't have to worry about it because it's there. Don't have to program it. I'm sure it's documented on Android's site. Fred

OK...your statement implied that we don't have to worry about having/needing a refresh button for some reason. If you can dig up where you saw that information, it would be helpful! Thanks, Mark

Yes, that's why you have so many reposts on the Forum, users are hitting the back button on their device. Hard habit to break. Fred

I have to get myself a android device - I really do - testing on the simulator just doesn't seem to be as easy as the ios simulator. The default back button if I remember correctly, will also be leaving soon? or was the just a rumor? I don't know if their trying to head the apple route, but I really do like having a physical button to rely on. David buzztouchmods.com
