@Isillis, not sure where you link goes. @Mark your link is to a separate article that walks through the process of creating a iOS app. The best link is: www.MySkylla.com My iOS material will have four main sections The Buzztouch Process (iOS) - how to create iOS apps Buzztouch Source Code (iOS) - detailed examination of the project files Buzztouch & iOS - Resources related to both Specific resources for (iOS, Xcode, OS X, iPhone, iPad, jailbreaking, . . .) So, I start here: http://www.myskylla.com/ Click on "MySkylla's Guide to Buzztouch", which takes me here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/42553454/MySkylla%27s%20Guide/a_myskylla_guide.html Totally confused on where to click now. Not trying to be a jerk or anything, but I'd like to read the info and hopefully learn something new. From this page, I clicked on http://dl.dropbox.com/u/42553454/MySkylla%27s%20Guide/a_myskylla_guide.html#OSs and then http://dl.dropbox.com/u/42553454/MySkylla%27s%20Guide/Articles/iOS_Process.html which you're saying is not correct? It's simple You go to www.MySkylla.com (moving site from Dropbox to here soon, that's why I prompt this link) Click on Buzztouch (Android & iOS) button Click on (iOS, Xcode, Apple) button All of the links posted by other will only work (if at all) temporarily So, use www.MySkylla.com Fred

@Mark, I've check and it's a correct link at this moment, I use a different link so that confused me, but as I've pointed out above you're using a temporary link so it's best not to post it. @MacApple, I could but then I would have to fix it latter, not enough time in the day for that. Sorry. Fred

Hi Fred, As a user of your site, I disagree that it's simple. I outlined my steps above, and still don't know exactly where the content is you are trying to provide. Lots of others have commented the same. So, could you treat us like children who need to be lead directly to the water fountain, and provide the direct link? Thanks, Mark

@Mark, I given my reasons, sorry if it doesn't meet with your approval. I'm not treating you as children, if you feel that way, not my problem since I can't do anything about that. I agree that my guide has been a bit confusing, that's why it's been streamlined. I plan on a few additional features that help, but as all things it's not perfect nor will it ever be. Fred

Hi Fred, Well, I guess you do have your reasons. I really would like to read the content of your guide, but simply cannot find it, and you don't seem willing to verify the URL of the guide itself. Hopefully somebody else will find it and steer me in the right direction! Thanks, Mark

@Mark, as I indicated your link above is good at the moment. But may not be tomorrow. Mark has posted the link, what's crazy is you can't click two buttons (both have iOS on them). You're making it more complicated than is necessary. Fred

Hey all, To better state why the direct link is not posting is because in reality there is no "real" direct link. Fred's guides contain multiple sections. While he could have a PDF submitted to buzztouch, he updates his content almost daily to make it better, more accurate and easier to read - I doubt buzztouch would appreciate multiple submissions every day to update his guides - buzztouch wouldn't be able to spend time on coding then! That is why he says PDF's are outdated - there are multiple guides on buzztouch.com in PDF format that are outdated right now. Here you go: www.MySkylla.com > MySkylla's Guide to Buzztouch > Buzztouch (Android & iOS) > iOS, Xcode, Apple > YOU ARE THERE. (this is exactly what fred said where it was in the first post) As said you can see his guide has been split into multiple sections to be able to better understand each PART of the WHOLE (rather then throwing it all in your face at once). Take care, David buzztouchmods.com

@ceerup, that's correct, today but as I and MrDavid explained above don't expect the link to work tomorrow. Using www.myskylla.com will always work. The first page of my guide has only one button with iOS on it. That takes you a page with only one button having iOS on it. That that takes you to Buzztouch & iOS. Enjoy the riches. Fred

In defense of PDF files, since I obviously create a ton of them, I think they're an excellent format for this site. Pretty much none of what I've written requires daily updates. Yeah, I could probably make daily improvements to what I've written, but it's not necessary on a daily basis. With proper version control, it's fairly easy to know if you have the latest and greatest document. Plus, they are immensely more portable than HTML in most cases. I'll stand by PDFs anyday! Mark

OK...I went back to the website this evening to see if I could figure this thing out. Not because I wanted to prove Fred/MrDavid wrong or anything...but because I really wanted it to work so I could read the guide. Plus, if it's as easy as Fred says, then I must be doing something wrong. So, I pulled up www.myskylla.com in both FF and Chrome (and even mobile Safari), and I see this screen: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/4993711/skylla1.png According to the instructions at the head of this post, there should be two "buttons" there: Buzztouch (Android & iOS) <--- iOS that's the button I don't see any buttons there at all, and I don't see anything labeled what's in the text above. I do see a link for "MySkylla Mobile" and "MySkylla's Guide to Buzztouch". Neither of these are mentioned in the instructions above. So, I take a chance and click on the "MySkylla's Guide to Buzztouch," which is hosted at this link: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/42553454/MySkylla's%20Guide/a_myskylla_guide.html And this is what I see: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/4993711/skylla2.png Now this looks more like what Fred was describing! There is indeed a button called "Buzztouch (Android & iOS)!" And, if I click it, it leads to this page: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/4993711/skylla3.png The fifth button on this page, not the second one, is called "iOS, Xcode, Apple." And this page is hosted at another temporary URL: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/42553454/MySkylla's%20Guide/a_myskylla_guide.html#OSs So, I've gotta say...this is NOT as easy as you make it out to be, Fred. And I've followed your instructions to the letter, using the base www.myskylla.com URL. I'm not writing this up to prove you wrong or anything like that, but to show you exactly what I'm seeing when I try to follow the instructions you provided. They simply don't match. If I am doing something wrong, and you have time to show me the errors I'm making, please let me know. It's entirely possible that I'm doing something very wrong here. Seriously Fred...I really do want to understand why this is so complicated for me, and whether perhaps I have expectations here that are beyond what they should be. You do have some valuable information in your guides, and I just want it easily accessible for me! Thanks, Mark

Hard to let it go, Fred. In my day job I do software/hardware testing for a living. My goal in that job is to make things super simple for customers. So, in this case, either I'm doing something very wrong, and I'm asking you to tell me what it is, or your steps are wrong. Those are the only two options that I see. Show me what I'm doing wrong...please! Seriously!

@Mark, Not sure what your issue is. For me it's simple, I'm providing some resources for Buzztouch users. In this particular case for Buzztouch iOS users. Read the various resources provided enjoy, whatever, but let it go. Why you go to great length to complicate a simple matter, I don't know, but I've learned that I can't help or please everyone. I shall not respond to you on this thread again. Fred

@Paddy, @coderx, you're losing a lot of respect from me right now. I say this as a friend to both of you who appreciates your posts on the forum: If you disagree - fine. Leave. Don't make fun of a guy who's spending hours of his time every single day making these buzztouch guides for people like yourselves. He's helped thousands of people with his guides, and hopefully, continue to do so. The maturity of this forum sank to a whole new low today. David. buzztouchmods.com

Yeah, we are all big kids at heart. The thread was already turning soar so I thought it could use a new tangent. Worked didn't it ? There is absolutly no disrespect to Fred at all. Even if it's hard to navigate, I follow his blog often and it's a precious ressource, so if it in the slightest upset Fred, I'll take it off straight away and say sorry to him. David, you can keep your patronizing talk to yourself, who are you to say if I should stay or leave.

@Paddy, I never said you should leave or not. I meant that as in, leave the thread if you disagree with its contents, (you know, don't say anything if you don't have anything nice to say), I simply found it disrespectful. If you feel patronized, that's something you'll have to deal with in life sometimes - grow up. I do appreciate the apology through, your still a cool dude in my book. @Fred - I understand - no problem. Cheers, David buzztouchmods.com
