But after looking briefly at the code (in xCode) for the splash, it looks like its creating a subview and then doing some fancy stuff to "animate" it (timer, fade out, etc). The subview has a bg color, and an image. I'm sure the right coder could replace the image with a webview, and then you could use that as the view for your HTML5 file.
