Hey! My first two BT v2.0 apps have been approved within a week. It's been a stressful ride (not so much on the BT side, but on the iTunes Connect side!) but the whole process does now make sense. I'd just say to anyone starting out (as a person who hadn;t done a single line of code before) that perseverance is key! Both the apps are free and relate my home city of Cardiff, UK and the iTunes link is http://itunes.com/apps/tradebox. If anyone has the time to look over them, I'd be really grateful for feedback (they're quite simple, content-driven apps). Genuine thanks are owed to Buzztouch for creating such an excellent, intuitive product and to David from BTMods who was instrumental in guiding me through the submission process. Thanks so much guys; I've got the bug now!

They are both very nice for first time apps. Only mini-suggestion - change the default images from the original. even if its just black, but the original replace this image text doesn't fit right in the app that is well designed! other than that, awesome work!

Excellent! Congratulations! Downloaded both and they look fantastic. Some great design, photos & graphics. A couple of questions: - for Trippa did you just use HTML docs for the content pages? They look great. - does the Penny Post link through to a WP site with a mobile plugin? It looks great too! Gonna rate them both for you now.

@sepala, I use the same wordpress plugin -- its called wptouchpro http://www.bravenewcode.com/product/wptouch-pro/ works awesome.

Hi @mysps I thought so. I have used WP Touch but have found that it isn't customisable enough. Looked at upgrading to Pro but not done it yet. I can see from this that it works well and looks great.

Hey guys, Thanks for the quick responses, really motivating! @Mysps & @Sepala, yes, it is wptouch pro. The fre version (like you said) wasn't customisable enough so went for the pro version. On a montization front, it was a good investment. Whilst it cost around $20 (I think, but not sure) it's more than made this back with adsense revenue on the pennypost site. On another wptouch note, I'm still working on removing the breadcrumbs list from the category pages, it's a bit ugly and takes the place of an advert! @Sepala; on the Trippa app the content pages are all HTML docs. I think that the app might be better with individual pages for each listing (which is what will happen with the next one) but I was mindful of the number of pages allowed with a BT free version, so went for anchor text instead. @mysps: I hope I don't sound ignorant but which default images are you meaning? I only know of the default.png and [email protected] which are custom in both apps. I'm a newbie though, so if there's other default images to be amended, please let me know! As an aside, I've already installed the apps on a number of my friend's devices over the weekend and the default images (acting as a 'splash screen' as it were) appear normal (i.e. the new default png I have added to the xcode project). Cheers @Ashy_Ravaliya, you're in the UK, so if you're ever over in Wales, the Trippa app may be of use! @Paddy, that theme is looking good (especially for popping in the custom URL). The WP theme I've been playing around with most this week is: http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/responsive and it seems to be playing nice!

yes the image showed up as the original that comes with every ios download in the archive.. Says" Change Default Portrait.. etc etc.. . It can be found and replaced in the BT_Art folder! Its an easy fix, just save a new image as those and preserve the name. it is strange that you see it fine on other devices maybe because i'm viewing on my ipad?

@mysps my error! I didn't know that there was a default image for ipad that would be used (I'd specified the app for iPhone only you see). Now I know! Basically, if you open the app on iPhone all is well. If you open it on an iPad (even though it's an iPhone rendering of the the app) it still pulls the default iPad png. Interesting to know and good for next time!

its hard to say and it is strange bc it shows the size as 320x480.. on the ipad 1.. maybe its the retina.. i downloaded it on my iphone 3g and the screen shows up excellent! but weird it didnt do the same for the ipad..

Well done ! Maybe you could give us newbies some advice on how to get this accomplished. It all seems confusing at times!!!!!
