Problem with the HTML.

David, I think there is a problem with the website. When you got to change the setting of a HTML/text screen it works. But when you open the 'document behaviour' tab, and it asks 'force refresh,' i selected the 'no, allow caching.' But when you use the app it doesn't cach and when you go back into that tab on the website it has changed itself back to yes, allow chaching...

Ok. Are you saving when you change the settings? Are you updating the config.txt file after you make changes to the core settings?

sorry to say it works for me jawdoss! My app is pretty much chocca full HTML pages and when inevitably delayed at victoria tube station they all opened up fine! As Mac apple said, there's a desperate save button for the doc behaviour bit, took me a while to figure that one out :)

Are these HTML files being included with the app, or being accessed from a URL? If they are local, there is no need to change the cache setting. If they are from a URL, they will ALWAYS be cached, even if you change the setting. That's the programmed behavior of buzztouch. Same applies to "Custom HTML/Text" files where you use the buzztouch editor to create your HTML. Those files are stored on the buzztouch server, and have to be retrieved over the network. But they are then cached, whether you like it or not! Mark

somewhere in the header of the html you might see something like "initial-scale=1.0; maximum-scale=2.0" If you set the max at 1.0, it won't allow someone to pinch to zoom (if that's what you were asking?)

If you're using the Custom HTML screen from buzztouch, it starts off with this information in the top near the metadata. If you started with a blank HTML or a HTML file from somewhere else, then you'll want to put some of this stuff in there to make it more mobile friendly. What I'll usually do for HTML docs is start off with the blank/default HTML code from BT's custom HTML, and then add my actual HTML code to the BODY section. Then adjust the header information to how I want it. Someone with more HTML background can probably explain it with more detail, but this is just coming from someone who simply makes it work, lol.
