Show a list from a database

Hi, I would like to do the following, but so far I have not been able to figure out which Plugin I should use to get the job done. I have a database in Filemaker or Excel which consists of Names, adresses, zipcodes and City and a URL. This I would like to show in a screen with "Name", "City" and "URL". I assume an Iphone screen will be able to show around 12-15 names in a list. When the user click the "URL" he/she will be taken to the URL for more information. I think that I can use Stobes tool to get my data converted to Json but where do I go on from here? I cannot find a plugin that will do this? Or - is there another way to do this? Any help is welcome! Thanks and regards, Kristian Nielsen, Copenhagen

You could use a list menu with the Name as the main text. The City as the "subtitle". And then lead the user to a custom URL screen when they tap. This would have to be created manually in the control panel. But if you have a ton of names, contact me and I might be able to modify a tool for you.

This was posted by David recently, and looks like it will do what you're wanting. I haven't tried it, but the logic seems correct. http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?fid=A8CA3A061EDD26F1A26DE68&tid=A8CA3A061EDD26F1A26DE68

Menu list is certainly a good option. Another option is html5. Fred

Yes, that would require a text file containing the childitems (such as the output from my list menu tool). And I actually have a better "mousetrap" for doing that based on David's idea in that link. I just need to type it up and share it.

@MGoBlue: Ask and you shall receive. Just uploaded the CodeShare file to iDevDepot. I will write up a manual edit approach in a new thread. http://idevdepot.com/code-share-tool-library/

This looks great. Thanks for sharing. Really appreciate the ability to use the control panel. Keeps it easy when updating apps.
